automatic creation of free accounts

WIS hosting

Recommended Posts

The accounts and domainnames of my clients are automaticly created after the first payment is received. For almost all packages this is working fine.

And for all domainnames it is working fine.

But I have one problem. I offer a small webhosting account for free and for the domainname they have to pay. So the domainname is created after the payment is received. But the hostingpackage is not created automaticly. I think this is because I offer it for free.....

I don't want to create the packages after the clients place the order. Or create them manually. So does anyone have a option for me to create it automaticly. But still keep it for free??

I am using version 4.1.2

Yes, but all my hosting packages which clients have to pay for they are automaticly setup. And only the free package is not automaticly setup.

I have all the settings the same as the other packages.

My conclusion was that free hostingpackages are not setup automaticly because they are not paid for. So not on the invoice. But they are visible in the order......

When I look at the order, then is only the domainregistration executed and the hostingpackage still pending.

Strange....

when you create a package in the pricing area make sure free is checked and this plan will be free and then follow what thehost5968 says and it should all work automatically.

But being honest i would not offer free accounts, this attracts spammers etc to use your services and if you look at your server providers terms that you will most likely see that free hosting is not allowed, as more and more are not allowing free hosting to be given on their servers as these do cause problems on servers.

I offer free webhosting. But clients have to pay for the domainname.

John> I don't want to use Instantly on Order, because people sometimes look at it and then decide not to pay and then I have to remove those packages from the server again.

Is it possible to do a workaround on the On first Payment option??

Hi

A client may already have a domain, but no matter if they do pay for a domain name the hosting is FREE and this is what a majority of server providers wont allow. all hosting needs a domain, so they order a domain and pay and then get free hosting, then they suddenly start sending out spam through this account. I guaranteed 1 of 2 things will happen. 1) your server provider (VPS/DED) will either suspend or more likely terminate the offending account and may do this to you. 2) the datacentre will suspend ther server and then your server provider will demand and costs to get this back up from you.

Most will have something like this

"No Free Hosting allowed. You are not allowed to give away hosting in exchange for advertising or just to be friendly. This includes post to host!! If you want to give an account to a family member or friend, that is fine.....(let us know) we are talking about advertising to the public and offering a free hosting account to anyone that signs up. This is an invitation for people that will abuse the system resources. This includes penny hosting and other ways to try and get around this rule. If we feel you are offering services that put the rest of the customers on your server in jeopardy, your account will be suspended or terminated."
