0 TonyRoss
Also, can this system print invoices on paper for people who wish this and does it have a way to post payments from checks or cash from walk-in customers?
0 WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 25, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 25, 2010 Hi, WHMCS itself can be used to bill any recurring or one-time product for any type of company. A Mail in Payment gateway is available for cheque and cash payments to be manually recorded in the system. We also have an addon module that's been developed for FreeRadius. The module supports automatic creation, suspensions, unsuspension, termination, password changes and upgrading of accounts on the FreeRadius server. It will also display usage stats for the current billing period on the client side. It is available for $150 and comes complete with source code and setup instructions.
0 TonyRoss
John, thanks for the quick response, that is a good sign for support. You product looks very good, I just need to see that it will fit our operation. First: I found and installed the Manual Payment Gateway on the online demo. However, I don't see how to enter the payment. The customer walks in or mails in a check which we need to enter into the system. How is that done? I have searched the demo to no avail. Second: at the end of the day, we need to make a physical deposit at the bank for the check or cash payments. Our current system prints out a daily deposit report with paid invoices listed by customer with the daily total. How would we accomplish this in WHMCS? Third: we provide services as three different companies as we acquired these companies. The email or paper invoice shows a different company header. Can this be done in WHMCS? Thank you, Tony Ross
0 TonyRoss
I believe I have found how to make the manual payment from the wiki, Also, creating the deposit slip appears to be from listing transactions for the current date for the Manual Payment Gateway. We do need to be able to print invoices for customers who require paper billing instead of emails. Also, I need to know if we can handle multiple companies. Thank you, Tony Ross Edited January 25, 2010 by TonyRoss Add item
0 m00
He have realized this with multiple templates. We have created a template for each company of us. Each company does have his own customer layout and PDF (invoice) template. 0 TonyRoss
Hello m00, Thanks for your reply, I'll check out the links. Does WHMCS have reporting that would allow subtotals for each company's revenue? Tony Ross
0 WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 26, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 26, 2010 I don't believe that would be possible, no.
0 m00
We've looked into that one, but by default WHMCS doesn't offer that option. Our developer created a function which "logs" the website from where the order is created, and made a admin module so we can just view our income, tax balance, etc. per company name. Please let me know if you want more information on this. I can provide you with his e-mail.
0 TonyRoss
In working with the demo, I added other companies using the Client Groups although a Custom Field could also be used but the Custom Field does not appear on the customer summary. If there was a way to filer on that field, then reports could be done categorized by Client Group. Perhaps we can query the tables from an external php script and generate this report. I would be preferable to have the report on the WHMCS report menu. Tony Ross

Tony Ross Rather than just using the online demo, why not take out the free 15 day trial, then you can add to your own site and play around with if for 15 days to see if it is what you want.
