joew
We are getting setup and it is time to chose a registrar that works with WHMCS. We have been using hostway not as a reseller however it looks like they do not support WHMCS's API's. we have access to Enom with our hosting provider however there prices are about %20 higher than hostway. Any info is helpful technical, costs, service & support. Thanks Joe W.

risoknop
Enom and Namecheap are the most widely used from my experience but basically you can go with any reseller you like, there shouldn't be problems.
cwalke32477
I use netearthone. They are slightly higher price as namecheap, and they have way better customer management utilities. Prob with Namecheap, is, you become the owner of each domain, not your customer - from what I understand after speaking with there live support. Enom has good utilites for customer management, but they require a large deposit to get started. netearthone.com is also included as a WHMCS module, which makes it easy. The one thing about NetEarthOne, is you need to make sure you disable them from sending emails to your client, and disable the hosting packages, as it would conflict with your main hosting. They do email your client, as you, but there emails have a bunch of additional offerings you may not want to offer. So be sure to disable them from sending emails on your behalf. I myself, have SSL Certificates, and Domains enabled. Chris Walker http://www.siterack.net
PC-Mike
Thanks for this info. Can I ask how you get them to not send the emails to my customers. Is this a setting in the Net Earth One setup pages, or do you need to contact N E O support and request this? Do you let your customers access the LB platform at all, or only use WHMCS to administer their domains? I know you can remove items like hosting from the resell list on their platform, as I already did this. Thanks for your help. Mike Thanks
rdavis
Enom has good utilites for customer management, but they require a large deposit to get started. http://www.siterack.net As John pointed out above your post, Enom's cost is substandually reduced by a arrangment they have with WHMCS.
rdavis
We can tell you who not to use as a Domain Registrar. Although very low priced cost for domain names and a low entry cost to start with, our current registrar is DomainNIC.com. 6 years ago they were top of the heap. Now skeletons in the closet, and off shore. A bad choice to start off with. Undependable support at best. English as a second language when it comes to email replies. I thought you should know.
