Bitter
I am getting reports from my clients that they are receiving 20+ email messages regarding payment reminders (all for the same invoice that is due in a few days) and I'm also getting about 100 cron job emails a day. Is this a glitch, or is that how it is supposed to be? I don't remember that many email invoices going out to 1 person all at once, and I don't know if the cron job email is supposed to be sent to me a hundred times. Any idea what is causing this?
sparky
Check to make sure that you setup your cron to run only once per day.
thehost5968
Check the setting you have set with in the corn job within your control panel and if needed then post it here.

Bitter
Here is a screenshot of the cron job schedule. It is the only cron job settings I know of in cPanel...besides specifying an email address. http://i46.tinypic.com/1z4jxxt.png
thehost5968
seem ok what where the time's between the email eg. 5, 10 mins or day?
Bitter
The emails come in bunches about 10-15 every few minutes at the time my cron job is set..around 6:00pm every day. They come in spurts of 10-15 until it reaches around 40 or 50 total (can't remember, I usually delete them as they come) and they all say the same thing in regard to what functions were done today. My clients are also receiving their reminder emails in bunches of 40-50 as well.
Bitter
This is a bit unrelated, but recently after upgrading to v4 of WHMCS, new clients' accounts don't get automatically set up after registration. I get an email saying there was an error and the account has to manually be setup on the server. Ideas why this is happening, too?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 28, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 28, 2009 Something is causing your cron to run numerous times and the cPanel setting looks fine. Perhaps someone is maliciously accessing it? Try renaming admin/cron.php and see if the problem persists. First see if the problem continues BEFORE updating the cron command in cPanel.
Bitter
The multiple cron issue doesn't seem to be happening anymore...oddly enough. I guess just saving the cron again fixed the glitch or whatever the bug was. I only received 1 cron email yesterday, and 1 the day before that. So that seems fixed now. But as for my second problem, accounts won't automatically set up in WHM after someone creates an account in WHMCS. Any ideas what is causing this? It seems to only happen after I upgraded to v4 of WHMCS.
thehost5968
re do the Access Hash
Bitter
Thanks for the help. I redid the access hash so hopefully that will fix it. And I don't see multiple emails as of late so I'm hoping this is all resolved. Thanks for all the help!
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 29, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 29, 2009 Check Utilities > Activity Log for any errors when WHMCS attempts to prevision the account on the server.
