Potential Email Loop...

root@server.domain.com - Subject Here - Blocked Potential Email Loop

 

I can't seem to get this to work, even if I use POP import and I have the particular department set to *not* auto-respond. I just want some simple notifications to come into my helpdesk from various servers but I can't seem to get past the "Potential Email Loop" option... Is there any way to tweak this or disable it for a particular department?

Is one of your support departments using the same email address as one of your administrators? This is the most common cause of email loops. Change your emails addresses.

 

No, why on earth would I use root@server.hostname.com as an email address for an administrator...

 

And when an administrator opens a ticket this is the error:

Ticket ID Not Found

Not

Blocked Potential Email Loop
