7.8.3 and Stripe error referencing templates

I did get the issue resolved, I just had to rename the template folder back to six and we were good to go. -
7.8.3 and Stripe error referencing templates
Mark_J replied to Mark_J's topic in Installation, Upgrade, and Import Support
Thanks for the reply Chris. Yes I am having issues, when attempting a test transaction the order button just spins, I can't seem to find any logged errors anywhere either. -
So we recently tried to activate Stripe running 7.8.2 and got the error below. We then updated WHMCS to 7.8.3 from 7.8.2 and are still seeing this error; We are not using custom templates for the clients (we're using the default Supreme Comparison template) but we're using Lara for the Admin panel, I don't think we should be seeing this error as all the template files were updated on 9/3 when we upgraded to 7.8.1. I saw that there were quite a few people experiencing this error in the past but almost all of them were related to template changes they made which is not the case for our install. Anyone have a suggestion on where to start troubleshooting this issue?

I can confirm that upgrading to 7.8.2 did fix the issue, sort of. So now I have: One payment method display as "Card - XXXX" Showed up after upgrading to 7.8.2 on a client we missed with the workaround. One payment method display is correct and what I expected "Real card type - real last 4 digits" One payment method display as "Card - 1234" This was the workaround but didn't update to the real card type with the real last 4 digits after the 7.8.2 upgrade.

I haven't found this same error anywhere yet so after I opened a ticket I thought I'd post it here as well. Basically after using the auto upgrader from 7.7 to 7.8.1 I ran into two issues, one with smarty templates and the Lara theme (which were quickly resolved) and this one which I can't pin down. I don't use Stripe it's not even enabled, I use Quantum Gateway and every client profile page I view pops this error: "Paymethod migration failed. Client's remote non-card gateway could not be determined. Client ID: " If anyone saw this error when they upgraded and were able to resolve it, I'd sure like to know how you did it!

Suggestions requested for adding multiple WHMCS products/services to invoices
Mark_J replied to Mark_J's topic in Using WHMCS
The advice is much appreciated, I am sure that the image is exactly appropriate too! I had no idea I was going to end up moving to a custom module request when I started this thread, I was actually hoping someone might be able to suggest a work-around so I'll have to ask the Mods for forgiveness ;) -
Suggestions requested for adding multiple WHMCS products/services to invoices
Mark_J replied to Mark_J's topic in Using WHMCS
A custom Addon seems like the way to go, that's what we had been thinking as well. Any suggestions on a reputable developer with solid ties to WHMCS who might take on such a project? -
Greetings, We are looking for a few creative ways to overcome WHMCS Mobile App limitations to allow us in adding multiple products to an invoice. Here is the scenario; We offer a lot more than just webhosting, one of the services we offer is small office network & application support for local businesses. So when we get a call for service our office takes the call and opens a ticket on behalf of the client. One of our Techs gets notified of the ticket and responds, many times what the Tech needs to do is add parts from their trucks that are not included on the initial ticket. This means that they have to add multiple items to an invoice with a SKU number, from their cell phones. The WHMCS App is extremely limited and can only add one item at a time, if the Techs use the website they can add multiple items (a bit painfully) however because we have about 600 products added to inventory you can only scroll through the products list and cannot type and have any intelligent completion of the product query auto populate. Since the Techs are paid by the call and all calls are paid at the time of the visit the longer they have to sit on site dealing with adding items to the invoice one at a time the less money they make and the more unhappy they get. We have been able to successfully adapt a great many WHMCS features into our business model but we're struggling to find a way for our Techs to easily and quickly add multiple items to an invoice so they can generate the invoice and and take payment all while on-site. If anyone has any creative suggestions, possibly an Add-on they have seen or just advice we would appreciate the input. Thanks for taking the time to read all this!

We're hoping to get a few tips/suggesitons that may help us in this scenario. So we have WHMCS installed for a client and are using it for a non-webhosting company. It's the perfect solution for their business when using some of the available Add-ons. One we're using in particular is a QuickBooks sync from Modules Garden. So everything looks peachy and I am about to import several different QuickBooks company files for testing. Since these are the real files and contain all their previous billing/invoices I have a very large concern that once we run the sync there will be clients that get blasted with late notices, multiple times as we test multiple iterations of the QB company file. So I said all that to ask this, is it possible to disable all outbound notifications from WHMCS on an as needed basis for various testing sessions?

Much appreciated Kian and Chris, I had thought that the coupons were only for one-off discounts and didn't realize they could re-apply for every billing cycle. Thank you!

I am trying to figure out how to do this and so far have not been able to figure out a sustainable method. Here's the scenario; I donate hosting and services to several non-profits in my local area. They would like to track the value of what I provide for accounting purposes. So I need to sign them up to one of my normal hosting plans and generate a monthly invoice, the same as everyone else does (which rules out creating a custom unadvertised plan that only they can get). However when that invoice is sent to them it should show a zero balance owed. To make it more challenging, all of this would be ideal if it didn't take manual intervention on their part or mine every month. Anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to accomplish this? Thanks in advance!

Isn't there another new vulnerability that is currently being investigated? http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=8880279&postcount=4 http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1309491&page=14

5.1.2 Admin Summary page overviews not displaying...
Mark_J replied to Mark_J's topic in Using WHMCS
It's not just graphs it's the attention items as well. Most of the front page summaries don't work anymore... -
I really don't want any outside sources to be required to view my Admin page (especially google)and it wasn't the case prior to this last upgrade so how is excluding google preventing my overviews from displaying?

I wonder, would you be saying the same thing about your Bank if your bank had inadequate security measures that led to the hacking of their database and your financial information was compromised? Blame falls where it falls and ultimately WHMCS is fully responsible for the security of any financial/personal information of mine that they store. I'm sure they will, but how credible will any statement from WHMCS be? They told us our financial information would be safe with them as well and we see how accurate that turned out...

So much conflicting information out there it's hard to know what really happened...

From what I've read, the email account belonging to Matt was also compromised. That doesn't sound like an exclusive HG issue to me. I don't know about who gets punished or classified as terrorists but it would appear that with just a little more attention directed to security measures this specific event could have been prevented. There are also very alarming PCI Compliance issues that have apparently been brought to light as a result of all this.

Quantum is having some issues; Just as an FYI, I am still having issues with them, recurring charges are being billed and Quantum is showing a zero amount on the Invoice. I think they still have a bit of work to do...
