Hi, Been using WHMCS since it was version 1.x. Today, I logged in as client and was slapped by this odd message at top, which I've never seen before (in over 10 years). "Complete your order today and save 5%" with a discount code, "WelcomeBack" I checked promotions, and nothing like that exists. It looks like some sort of cart abandonment offer - which I never created... Ideas on how one might turn this off? Thanks, Jim

HI, Sorry, not sure what yo mean by "It sounds like you're choosing to skip this automation by accepting the order before payment?" Client has had an account setup for 10 years. Client goes to registration page as usual and chooses to transfer a .com domain. Client pays after invoice generated. .com is set to Enom register (as shown in picture above). I see the transfer order in the Orders -> List all Orders page. I approve that transfer to ensure it goes through. Situation. Even though all of the above has been done, a week later, client notices his transfer has not "started", I view the domain status, which shows as "Active". BUT the registrar dropdown box, which should be auto set as Enom by default (#4 above), is set to "none", as shown below: Does this help explain things a bit better? Thanks!

Not correct, Biswashost. You did not fully read my statement. I'll state again below: The complaints here have been that Enom is already set (as you can see in the picture attached below). The problem..."is that the Registrar is set", but After domain name transfer payment is received and the order has been approved for a domain name transfer, we still need to go to the client profile in WHMCS and manually change the registrar from none. to Enom. (oddly, the domain status shows "Active" which further frustrates the process as our people think it's in process...) Everything else is set to run automatically, on an active client order, but transfer does not initiate after approval. Is there a way to set "None" to Enom "automatically" so that the paid transfer order will auto post to Enom without having to manually set None to Enom?

MyWorks PayPal Billing Agreement Module - Alternative?
TheHackRepairGuy replied to MikeP's topic in Vendor Discussions
Has anyone used this LCWSoft PayPal Billing Agreements module for longer than a few months and can comment as to whether it's a fairly seamless transition and does the job similarly to the MyWorks PayPal Billing Agreement Module 3.1 version / WHMCS 8.6? Thanks! -

Nicely done reply back - again! That said, I guess I'm not fully clear yet why client who likewise has lots of hosting invoices and they all run auto-renew wise every month, even after deleting all payment methods and adding a PayPal account, with that new PayPal account having no relation to prior billings on any of his other dozen monthly hosting services auto paid. They just get auto paid as expected. While the domain name invoice, It just sits there stupid, doing nothing, while his brother (hosting) invoices are auto paying every day with out issue.
-
Nice reply back. Thank you! Though keep in mind, I do have massive numbers of hosting invoices being generated daily and they all autopay without issue through PayPal. The issue: Why domain name invoices once generated, but do not auto pay like all of the other literally thousands of invoices that are auto paying each month without fail?

Sounds easy, right? Having read through the docs in regard to how auto renewal of domains works, I'm not finding the answer to my question. Question. I have a client who has set his domains to auto-renew. The auto renewal invoice is generated 2 weeks ahead per my settings. The problem. Client does not understand why his PayPal account is not auto paying the open domain name invoice the day after its generated, to renew his domain name in his absence. Is there a setting to ensure that "auto renewal of a domain name" actually "auto renews" using the client's pay source on file?,

It's been a couple of years now and things really haven't changed much. Sorry to have to ask, but is this module still being supported? -Jim

Situation is resolved here. Likely my local caching made that event feel longer than it actually was. Thanks again. -

WHMCS Licensing server issues right now
TheHackRepairGuy replied to websavers's topic in Troubleshooting Issues
No change here. Still getting the error: INVALID LICENSE Your license key is invalid. Possible reasons for this include: The license key has been entered incorrectly The domain being used to access your install has changed The IP address your install is located on has changed The directory you are using has changed If required, you can reissue your license on-demand from our client area @ www.whmcs.com/members/clientarea.php which will update the allowed location details. -

Thanks. That did the trick! Though client's can't log in or place orders - until WHMCS is back up. Essentially, every hosting company on this planet is down order wise until they resolve the licensing server issue. -

hacking Mass Bogus New Account Creation
TheHackRepairGuy replied to TheHackRepairGuy's topic in General Discussion
Not hacked, just susceptible to account creation exploits apparently. Has been this way for 10 years. Hoped they'd improved security by the latest version, but apparently not. CAPTCHA is either failing to block bots or hackers have found a way to bypass it.
