Hi Jbro - same questions to you above ^^
-
Did this just start happening to you in 5.1.2? What exactly is happening? When a customer signs up and buys a product they are not activated and stay as "pending" until you manually accept the order? Or is it something else?
-
Yes, this feature is done very nicely. The client can view/print/download any past invoices.
-
You mean the "Powered by WHMCompleteSolution" , or did you already remove the offending links?
-
Haha, owned.

In short, no. About a month ago Matt replied in my ticket and said he checked the issue and could verify it (at least on my site) and was looking into it. He tried uploading replacements for all the WHMCS files, but it didn't fix the problems. After that there has been nothing at all, until recently the new superstar forum mod Infopro started helping me here. If I get any word on a fix I'll let you know. The things you listed as bugs with WHMCS may be what happened to me, no responses to my ticket and then it was closed out of the blue. I did re-open it though. So what are we to do after this time has passed if we don't get a response? A lot of people have said NOT to bump tickets because it sends them to the bottom of the queue. I figured if the queue was 2 months long I would not risk bumping my ticket. Opening a new ticket and linking to the old one just seemed like it would cause more work for support so I didn't do that either.

Hi Infopro, thanks so much for the support and helpful responses! We have got a bit off-topic to this original thread, feel free to move this to it's own thread if you think it would be a good idea. It would make it easier for others who may have the same issue to find also. Yes, exactly my thoughts as well. Is it possible we can consult with someone who reads support tickets to find out? There seem to be a lot of users here in the forums who are stating that they have ongoing issues with open tickets since 5.1.2 but many times they are not stating what the problem is. Whoever is reading all the support tickets should know if this is widespread or isolated, even if no action was ever taken on the tickets. Thank you very much indeed. I'll do the same. I know there was at least two other threads I read by other users but I can't seem to locate them now. Yes, it does make sense and I thought the same thing as well. Before Matt replaced all the files with fresh ones I also re-downloaded all the files and did the same. Unfortunately that wasn't the issue. Yes, that is exactly what I did. I didn't touch any other files, I simply re-uploaded a backup of the configuration.php file. All the other files Matt replaced are still on my server to this day. I am happy to help in any way I can, I would love to get to the bottom of this. THANK YOU for taking the time to look into this seek some resolution. It's been extremely frustrating to have the ticket ignored with support for so long, and very nice to get some input on it from someone who truly sounds interested in figuring it out.

Great idea for a thread. Here's my main issues: 1. Products which are set to activate on payment are not doing so. They don't activate until each order is manually accepted. Ticket ID: #746560 Opened on: 17/07/2012 2. When a customer makes an order using a coupon for 100% discount (no payment needed) cart.php throws an error on the last step. Ticket ID: #746560 Opened on: 17/07/2012

Without access to deleted posts and with a lot of users not fully explaining their issues it's hard for me to find out who else may have this issue. There were a number of posts which sounded like they might be the same issue as mine, but I can't find them now. I found one posted today: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?58782-New-client-status-as-inative-by-default This sounds like it may be the same problem, new client orders are showing as "pending" and not "active" on my WHMCS until I manually accept them.

Hi Infopro, thanks for the response. If nothing else, it's very refreshing to have someone interested in finding out what is going on with my WHMCS. I did state the problem in this post, but maybe you are right I need to be more succinct. Here is my issue in as few words as possible: Products which are set to activate on payment are not doing so. They don't activate until each order is manually accepted. I can go into more detail, but that is the problem summed up.

Great question! There seem to be all manner of bugs that users are experiencing in 5.1.2 - you can just browse through the forum and see that many users are having problems with this release who never had problems before. Some issues sounds small, some issues sound critical, the common theme seems to be that this release has some bugs to work out. I posted a report of my particular issue in the "Bugs" section but it seems to have since been removed. I'm not sure why that happened, but I think it's difficult to know exactly what issues other users are experiencing or how many others may be having the same problem as I am. Without being able to view any of the code it's difficult to say why all these bugs appeared or for any of us to diagnose the issues on our own. A little help from support would be amazing, or even just the chance to see who else has this problem by allowing it to be posted in the proper section and leave it up would be great. Thank you!

Mostly they were in the "Feedback" forum, not the beta forum. Maybe I am mistaken or misunderstood what the OP was looking for, if so I apologize.

Hi Infopro, thanks for the response. When Matt uploaded the blank configuration file to my server I saw it within a couple hours and responded in my ticket asking him if he was going to fix that or if he wanted me to. He never replied so I restored a backup I had of the config file and database link was restored. I added a note to my ticket that I had done this. The original issue I was having (and still am having) was never fixed, the only thing it appears Matt tried when he said he was going to look at fixing it was to upload fresh files. It didn't work but I have heard nothing else from support since then. It's been over a month sinc ethe last response in my ticket, and over two months since I opened it. So far I haven't gone into details here about the bug I reported, just the responses I have received from WHMCS support. I did post the original issue in another thread but it seems that was deleted, so I'll post it again here if you want to know what is going on. My issue is that there seems to be a bug in the 5.1.2 version of the file cart.php where it is trying to access something it does not have permission to or that does not exist. This causes an error during checkout and the result is that my products which are supposed to activate on payment confirmation do not get activated. I have to manually accept each order for the products to activate. My host has been very helpful in working out where exactly the error is coming from and it's confirmed to be in cart.php - but because the code is all encrypted there's no way for me to troubleshoot this myself. All permissions and possible issues with mod security on my server have been checked many times, there's nothing amiss that we can find. My host even set all permissions to full access and tried running it, but the result was the same. We have been running older versions WHMCS for more than a year without any problems, this error only started happening in 5.1.2 and has persisted ever since. Sorry if I went into too much detail or this is off-topic to the original thread, I'm just sharing the facts of the situation because you asked. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Apparently they were considered spam or abuse and "cleaned up".

Yes, I have a ticket open. It's been almost two months and my issue is not resolved. The last response on my ticket was just over one month ago from Matt who said he was going to look into it and try a re-upload of all the WHMCS files. He did that, and in the process he over-wrote my configuration.php with an empty one, so my database connection was broke. That's the last thing that happened, after that just complete silence from WHMCS support. Then, a few weeks later they closed my support ticket. I'm sorry if this sounds like I am attacking anyone, I'm really just trying to state the facts. It's not my intention to flame or speak abusively towards anyone, but being in this situation is difficult and frustrating.
-
Hi Infopro, is your comment directed at me or Damo? I can post up the whole issue I have been having since upgrading to 5.1.2 if anyone is interested or if there's even a small chance I could get some help with it, but each time I have even mentioned what happened to my support ticket or what Matt did on my server the post gets deleted, so I stopped trying.
-
It's not an error, they are censoring the forum from such things now.
-
Thanks for the reply. Sorry, I didn't mean to direct that question at you personally, I actually have no idea who is responsible for all the censorship here. I'm not talking about spam, promoting other commercial products, or insults/flaming. Those should be deleted of course. At any rate, I'm happy to know it's not being done by you and that you are here to help. cPanel is renowned for their amazing support and high quality, dependable products.
-
Hi Infopro, welcome to the forums. Do you plan to continue censoring/deleting the comments which talk about the total lack of support here at WHMCS lately, as the staff before you seems to have been doing? I think it's important for everyone to know the current state of things so that corrective action can be taken. All the censorship here in the forums lately has just made this place seem entirely fake.

Maybe you are lucky to not have any major bugs twhiting9275, many of us have big issues which are breaking our WHMCS since 5.1.2 and a fix is needed badly. I wouldn't count on WHMCS fixing anything though, they can't even be bothered to answer support tickets where these critical issues are brought up.
-
People getting answers in 24-48 hours are just really lucky, or maybe have simple issues. If you have any serious issues or bugs be ready to wait for 5-7 weeks, possibly longer. I have a critical issue that is from a bug in the WHMCS 5.1.2 code and I am waiting 5+ weeks for a resolution so far.
-
I was just joking around mate. That sucks and I hope you get some help with your issue from them.
-
They are probably not responding because you have bumped your ticket and/or opened multiple tickets, this pushes your ticket to the bottom of the queue. Just kidding
-
Support is a joke and considering leaving it's got that bad!

Yes, there are other softwares which have exactly this, and there is no need to gain FTP access and upload the check script, it comes with the software already in each release. It can also be used as a utility by the site owner to verify authenticity of the local files for security or to determine which files have been altered/customized. I agree that there is absolutely no need to encrypt every possible file. Sure, encrypt the licensing files and maybe one or two core files, but the whole thing? If you are going to encrypt the entire package then you better be quick with support and updates when there are bugs in the code like there still are in the current "stable" release 5.1.2. Get your act together WHMCS, this is nonsense.
