Dont send an invoice to a customer with recurring
madsere replied to flatliner's topic in Using WHMCS
I have been looking for this for years. Why isn't that standard in the invoice templates? -
Any news about this? We offer services, and it really makes no sense not having a "completed" status ! Why didn't they make a #tblproductstatuses just like there's a #tblorderstatuses - or perhaps even use the same table for both orders and products - in effect it is the same thing at different times ...

I don't see "auto renew on payment" but there is a "Disable Auto Renew", is that what you mean? Are you sure that will disable renewals by payment? I prefer doing the transfer through WHMCS so registrar data gets set to what the customer has set up in WHMCS.

Hm, actually let's say it is now 10-OCT and the domain will expire 20-OCT, and this is when it will be invoiced. I now go ahead and delete the existing domain entry, and re-create it as a transfer-request. This now generates an invoice immediately due. As the invoice isn't really going to be due until 20-OCT I go ahead and delete that, and adjust the expiry/due dates as appropriate. Now on 20-OCT a new invoice will automatically be raised. Of course that needs to be paid, but that will automatically trigger WHMCS to add another year to the registration. How do I avoid that? I guess changing registrar to "none" would do that, right? Any better way of handling this?

@RebelOne: Thanks much, it looks exactly what I was looking for. Will try it out! @othellotech: I think you misunderstood my question - I know how to make domain transfers, the question is how to do an early transfer without getting the domain registered for two consecutive years. Oh, and as far as my customers are concerned I *am* the registrar.
-
We've been using various registrars but now have a reseller account with better prices, so we want to move existing customer's hosting to the new registrar as they are expiring. I can't find any way to do this through WHMCS. One sort-of-hacky-way would be to delete the domain in WHMCS, then issue a transfer request to the new reseller. Because customers are normally not billed until the domain actually expires, and some registrars such as Enom immediately block transfers for expired domains we need to start the transfer before it expires. I'm fine with the risk involved, but to start the transfer I have to confirm the order, and when it is then paid for, WHMCS automatically renew the domain for another year. How can we avoid that?

Would you mind explaining me how my code could ever stop bona fide content? I can not imagine anytime I would allow someone to push '{php}eval(base64_decode' through my whmcs installation?
-
No it wont. Just had someone from Algiers open a new ticket with this by using a combination of upper and lower case characters for "eval": {php}evaL(base64_decode( Anyway, easily solved by replacing strpos with stripos which does case insensitive comparisons. [REMOVED]
-
How about extending the '{php}' to '{php}eval(base64_decode' - wouldn't that solve the problem: [REMOVED]

Ok problem solved. Seems margin overrides margin-bottom. Now I know. Thanks everyone!

Could the "Powered by WHMCompleteSolution" be a license issue? The license is for www. not for test. - but I had the understanding it was just the admin interface that was blocked? Anyway, I copied the content to www. now so it should be the same content there.

Wow thanks for the many inputs, and so quick! Not sure what happened there. It also threw that "powered by" line for me, but then I hit reload and it came through ok. I presume the style.css you refer to is this http://test.minthost.com/media/css/style.css right? (whmcs has it's own style.css but it has not #footer references in it. You say you see the line "margin: 20px 20px 0;". When I go there I see: #footer{ font-family: Verdana; font-size: 10px; text-align: center; padding: 25px 0 25px 0; color: #AAA; border-top: dotted 1px #999; margin: 20px; margin-bottom: 0px; Did I misunderstand something?

I've almost managed to skin the client area to match the rest of our website, just one last thing I can't get rid off. After the closing content_container div I have my footer, but there is a black gap between them. See http://test.minthost.com/clients/ I've tried to change all css margins to 0 but it doesn't fix it. If I delete the "<div class="clear"></div>" line at the end of footer.tpl I lose the gap, but then my footer line becomes wrapped up on the right. http://validator.w3.org validates the page ok. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks. Would perhaps be an idea to include a link to that in the zip file or on the download page? Just an idea. We added a couple of flags to support additional currencies, and had to modify templates/orderforms/modern/products.tpl and viewcart.tpl files in order to support these. I suppose we'll have to redo those modifications as they are outside the localized part of the template system?

So what is the procedure to update? Just unzip the file into the existing whmcs directory? No changes/updates required to the database? No customizations (templates) being overwritten? Might be obvious, but it woulda been nice with a simple readme.first file with the zip explaining this in 4 lines
