Question

hi there,

i have got two questions.

whmcs has the possibilty to offer a webhostingpackage with a free domain included. lets say the customer dont wants to have this domain anymore. he wants to have another one instead of the old one. is it possible to change the free domain, so that whmcs will not create a bill for the new domain?

another question: the customer ordered the webspacepackage A, but after a few month he wants to have a bigger one, lets say package B. how do i manage it in whmcs? if the customer paid his bill for package A for 12 months but after 6 months or so he wants to switch to package B. is it possible because of the bills...?

1. If your customer has ordered a domain name (whether you have provided it to the client for free or not), and the domain name has been sent to the registrar to be registered, you will have 3 days in order to contact the registrar to ask for a cancellation of the domain. Provided you have done this within the 3 day time period, you will not be charged. You can then offer a different domain to your client - ideally you should let your clients know that cancelling a domain may not always be possible.

2. If a customer has a hosting package and wishes to upgrade, you can allow clients to upgrade automatically from within their client area. You will need to switch this on from within your admin area. You can also use the manual upgrade option by viewing the customers Products and Services, selecting the new package and clicking on "Change Package".

Thank you for answering me.

Same here in Germany, all registrations are final, but that was not my question. I'd like to now if whmcs can handle it? So if a customer wants to change his FREE domain. Can I delete the old one and register a new one and whmcs does not create a bill for the new free domain?

Yes, you can easily modify or delete the domain from the clients account and issue credit on their account for them to purchase another free domain name. You will also have to option for the order to not create an invoice requesting payment, instead it will just email the client upon successful registration of the new domain.

Thanks.

Another question:

If somebody has many domains e.g. 100 or so it is very depressing for the customer if he gets in the worst case for every single domain ONE bill. The result is he gets 100 bills.

Is there a option for a client only to create ALL bills once or twice a month? Or four times in a year or something similar.
