He's back .....

Anyone else receiving this solicitation? Surely there is. I can't believe this guy! Now he is withdrawing his previously open source released modules and making them commercial again!

Now that really inspires faith and confidence in him and his products.

Solicitation below -

*********************************

I am happy to let you know that I just finished a new module which was requested by many of you. The new module - WHMCS Gold Inodes Monitor is now ready to use.

WHMCS Gold Inodes Monitor allows you to monitor and restrict your cPanel accounts inodes usage. You should also be able to restrict cPanel backups for accounts with too many inodes. This is to maintain superb server stability.

As a bonus, on the cPanel side (customer's front end), just like what HostGator did, your customers can also see how much CPU and Memory usage their account is currently using (real time report). Additionally they can also see their current process list and they will also be able to kill their own processes.

Inodes usage will also be included in customer's cPanel, including the indoes breakdown so they can see for themselves which part of their accounts are utilizing the most inodes.

I have also updated the Gold Abuse Monitor plugin to include Inodes Manager so that you can manage multiple WHM servers inodes under WHMCS.

I have decided to put all the modules back as commercial plugins, they are not free anymore. The Inodes Monitor is priced at $47 for unlimited servers. You can install it to any amount of WHM servers.

All modules includes free installation if you need assistance with it. I do require full root access to your WHM server to install all modules.

COMING UP - BACKUP SOLUTION FOR RESELLERS

===================================

This month, I will be finalizing my cPanel Auto Backup module, you can see a working sample at http://www.cpanelautobackup.com. With this module, your end customers should be able to perform automated daily backup. You can give it for free, or you charge them an additional fee. This should be in a form of a WHMCS module.

This module was requested numerously by WHM resellers which has no functionality of backing up their end customer's cPanel accounts on a regullar basis.

This module will be priced at $77 for a one backup server license or $277 for unlimited backup servers license. The license are counting how many backup servers you are setting up, NOT the WHM servers you are backing up.

OPEN SOURCE

==========

Lastly, should you ever need the source code of any of my modules, you can obtain it for a $299 one time fee. The source codes will be given to you for your company's internal use and cannot be redistributed in any way, shape, or form. To get it, you can order it from whmcsgold.com.

Thanks and all the best with your web hosting business.

Jimmy @ WHMCS Gold

These were never released before as open source,

they were closed source with call home code in them,

However yes I do agree that it sux that he has made them commercial,

It also bothers me that I paid him for the release of these files to provide the unlock script to whmcs for inclusion in core code...

I was attempting to draw the time line where he sold modules (I purchased some too), then gave some away and now he wants to sell them again.

We have done the same Paul. What I saw interesting in his latest email; if you buy his "new" module he requires root access to install his application onto the server(s). We are not considering anything from this guy any more; his track record and the requirement to provide root access to our servers is outrageous.

I wonder if he would be willing to provide a bond or insurance policy for root access to anyone's server?

Just so happens I didn't find this thread in time. :( I bought one of his products (got a link from another thread) and never received it. I also tried the bridge plugin and got it to kinda work except when going from cPanel to WHMCS clients would still have to login again. Zero help and now I have to file a PayPal dispute because he didn't deliver what I bought.
