dansgalaxy
Hi, I am wondering if it is possible (from a licensing point of view) to be able to have a single WHMCS installation serving multiple domains? For example, if the WHMCS install is located @ clients.MainHostDomain.com but if for example the host also had another site called MyShoutcastHost.com and wanted to have it so clients.MyShoutcastHost.com was simply a cname for clients.MainHostDomain.com so they didnt need to have 2 separate systems to manage is this possible? If not, could this please be moved into the feature requests forum This would be a fantastic feature, even if you had to pay a few extra £ for additional domains on the license it would be a very useful thing indeed. I only ask as I am considering setting my a separate site purely aimed at one product type, because its has become my biggest seller so want to be able to give it a better shop front aimed at it sort of thing, but don't want to have to pay out for another license and then have the massive hassle of managing two installs, nor having to have clients go to separate domain to order/support etc. Makes more sense this way :-/
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 20, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 20, 2009 That would not be possible. However you could install it on a generic domain, then create a template for each brand.
dansgalaxy
That sucks Can I ask why it isn't implemented? The licensing module would be perfectly able to deal with it, as all it requires would be to add another domain to the allowed list for the license id. I have had a look, and understand to allow the system to fully work for multiple sites it would require alot, but currently all i need is for it to work on additional domains =/ Dan
