Bob Weston
Hi, I have searched for some hours now and cannot seem to find anything close to what I am looking for so I am going to ask here. I recently started selling VPS's and Dedicated servers. I do not own my own data center so when someone purchases the server from me, I need to purchase it from the datacenter, which means costs for me. If I set the product type as VPS/Dedicated Server, I cannot find a means to put in my costs so that the reports show the correct income. For example, when I have my own server and am selling hosting off the server. In the shared hosting product type, I am able to select what server the hosting account is on, this is not possible if you choose dedicated servers cause the server field is missing. So my question is, if I am selling dedicated servers and wish to add my costs to whmcs so that the reports are correct, where can I do this? Currently I have dedicated servers set as "Other" so that the server field shows and my costs are calculated. Can anyone help me with this or point me in the right direction? Maybe I am just overlooking something. I am pretty familiar with whmcs and have been using it for 3 years now, just not the server portion. thanks for any help. Bob Weston
Then why have the Report feature at all if it is not going to report correctly? If I am going to incorporate something into my software, I would make sure all bases are covered, not just 1st base. The report feature shows hosting income correctly but not the server income because there is no place to put how much the host has to pay for the server. I believe this is something fixable or it wouldn't work for the hosting.
