Promotion code updating cart correctly but not being passed through to PayPal

Hi guys,

I am hoping that I am missing something simple or not understanding something.

The issue is that although the promotion code validates OK and applies the correct discount of 50% to the cart, the full amount (and recurring agreement) is passed through to PayPal.

The promotion code is defined as follows:

Promotion Code: NOV2009

Type: Percentage

Recurring: Not enabled

Value: 50.00

Cycles: Any Payment Term

Applies to: Hosting Plans - Bronze

Expiration Date: None

Maximum Uses: 1

Number of Uses: 0

Apply Once: Enabled - Apply only once per order

New Signups: Not enabled

Apply Once / Client: Not enabled

Existing Client: Not enabled

The hosting plan (Hosting Plans - Bronze) is being selected and added to the cart. The domain is an existing one (update name servers).

The cart at checkout after validating the promotional code:

Shopping Cart

Description Price

Hosting Plans - Bronze (test.com)

$99.99 AUD

[Edit Configuration] [Remove]

Subtotal: $99.99 AUD

50.00% One Time Discount: -$50.00 AUD

Total Due Today: $50.00 AUD

Total Recurring: $99.99 AUD Annually

Everything looks OK even after clicking Checkout. After entering the customer details and selecting Complete Order - it redirects to PayPal OK but there is no mention of the discount anywhere:

Subscription To Terms Amount

Active IT Hosting - Invoice #7248

$99.99 AUD for each year $99.99 AUD

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,

Shannon.

In order for this to work you will need to disable the Modify Subscriptions option in Setup > Payment Gateways. PayPal have seen fit to make the modify subscription feature incompatible with the trial period feature (which you need to use). Unfortunately until PayPal change this there is nothing we can do.
