rsolomou
Hello, I recently finished configuring my WHMCS copy and after a test order, I found out that the page times out as soon as I am ready to head to the payment gateway for checkout, leaving the order pending. If you login, you'll see a pending unpaid invoice which you can pay, but then nothing happens as WHMCS doesn't seem to be able to connect with the server. I checked the server settings set on WHMCS and they seem correct, however, when I press Get Account List on cPanel/WHM Import, the page times out again, leaving me with no accounts listed on WHMCS. Any ideas on how I can fix this? I practically tried everything, and I'm pretty sure I did the configuration correctly. Thanks, Richard
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 1, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 1, 2009 It times out before you've paid, or after? Try creating the account on the server manually (by clicking the Create module command button) and see what error message you get.
rsolomou
Hello, Thank you for your prompt answer. The page times out before I am supposed to see the invoice. May I note that I used a 100% coupon code for the test order. When I don't use a coupon it let's me see the invoice, and I can go to the payment gateway, but I am unsure if after completion the account will be created. rsolomou
P.S.: I pressed Create on the Admin Area to create the pending account, and the page loads for a long time and finally times out without creating the account in WHM.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 1, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 1, 2009 Not sure why a coupon should cause a timeout on the invoice page. For testing purposes you can just login to your admin and manually Add Payment to the invoice - so you don't actually need to spend money.
rsolomou
Hello, I did as you said and accepted the payment on the invoice and now instead of Pending, the status on the Products/Services of the client selected is Active. I check WHM, no new account. I press Create, I get another long wait and then time out. Could it be because WHMCS cannot connect to the server? If so, what could have gone wrong with my configuration? I re-checked IP addresses, username, password, access hash and everything. Any ideas? GORF
Check to see if your host has ports 2086 and 2087 open: http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/port-scanner/
rsolomou
Hello, They seem to be responding fine. Any ideas?
GORF
Do you have an SSL cert on the site and can you browse to https://yoursite.xyz? If so, Settings-> Servers-> Edit Server at the end of the page, make sure Tick to use SSL Mode for Connections is checked.
rsolomou
Hi, No, I don't have an SSL Certificate set, and the box you mentioned is unchecked. I can't understand why this doesn't work, I've done like everything
GORF
Is your WHMCS site on the same IP as the reseller WHM account? Have your host double-tripple check their firewall. WHMCS is not talking to WHM (over port 2086). It has got to be on their end now.
rsolomou
Yes. the WHMCS site is under a subdomain on the same IP of the reseller account. My web host told me that this is a WHMCS related issue and that I should contact WHMCS support instead of them. I'll contact my web host again and let them know of the process so they can help me further. Thanks for your help
GORF
Ah, you didn't say it was a subdomain It could be a DNS issue with the subdomain. Can you check/edit DNS zones in WHM?
rsolomou
Yes, I can, what should I edit?
GORF
Just verify the subdomain is using the same IP etc. as the main domain. Probably good, but you never know.
