I'm definitely going to become a user of WHMCS, after a quick bit of research it is clear this is the best script by far and will save me a lot of time.
Before I purchase I just have a couple of questions that would help me get my head around how the script interacts with cPanel.
If I want to create an FTP account for a user, if I do it from the admin panel is the FTP account etc. automatically created and linked? Is it possible to view the cPanel login details?
Reason being, I am planning on setting up FTP accounts (and installing websites there) before I sell them, so I wont have a clients details to hand. I was then planning on transferring the FTP account to the new user account - does this make sense?
Also, I have written a PHP/MYSQL script, and I want to automate the installation as much as possible. After a bit of research it looks like packaging it up as a cPaddon may be the way to go - has anybody done anything similar? Is there a better way to utilise say the cPanel Api to acheive this?
So in summary, I am hoping to setup an FTP account with WHMCS, log-in to the accounts cPanel and install the cPaddon - hopefully sell the website and then add the buyers details to the account for hosting purposes.
Hope this makes sense! I'm guessing with a bit of experimentation I will work it out on my own, but just wondered if anybody on here was doing anything similar so I could save time.
