Damainman
Hello, If i send an email to my piped email address from a "staff" member, WHMCS doesn't automatically create a ticket from that user. If i said another email from an email account from the same domain but thats NOT a staff member, then it creates the ticket perfectly. My company does onsite computer work, and sometimes we need to email quick notes or status updates to the system. Is there a way to make WHMCS auto create tickets sent to my piped email address from staff members? Summary: If someone sends an email from an email address who is in a staff members account info the email doesn not get processed by WHMCS. Thank you in advance.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 13, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 13, 2009 An admin cannot open a ticket via email, only respond to them. Sounds like you'd benefit from the mobile addon?
Damainman
Thank you for your reply. Not technically, my phone is not a smart phone. And sending an email is fairly quick to send notes, reminders, and etc.... to the system to be processed when u get back into the office or by someone else in the department that checks for status updates. Is there anyway to work around this?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 14, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 14, 2009 You could create a client using a different email address and use that account to log new tickets.
Damainman
Thank you for taking the time to answer. That would not be beneficial because: - It would mean i need to create an alternative account for every staff member, to know who sent the email. - We would need to setup additional email accounts on field computers. I guess i'll wait and see if this feature is added down the line in the future, or maybe find some other method to do this. Thank you.
