evk87
Earlier when I installed my WHMCS, I encountered a database error. Which i reported to hostgator through ticket. They asked me to reinstall the WHMCS. I did, now the database error has been sorted out......but a new error has crept in. I have this problem, while i tried to reinstall my WHMCS... After following all the steps found in HostGator Video....I came to a page which said the following: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your license key WXXXXXXt-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is invalid. Possible reasons for this include: * An incorrect license key has been used * The IP Address your system is using has changed * The domain you are using has changed * The directory you are using has changed You can reissue your license from the WHMCS client area to save the new IP, Domain & Directory settings and get your WHMCS system working again. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I issued a ticket with WHMCS..... they replied saying that .... "License has been updated" But again I have this same problem....same error !! Should I download the pack again and install it. ? Because, I tried installing the old setup ...but it throws in the same error. Could this be since, I have a dynamic IP ? (My Ip changes everytime I turn off my Router Connection) Kindly help. Thanks, Vinod
tbenoit
I assume you don't mean the server you are hosting WHMCS on has a dynamic IP. From the error, you simply need to reissue the license by logging into WHMCS' client area (upper right corner of this web browser session has a link to it) and reissuing your license. When you do that, the next time the license server is polled it will save your current server information, and you'll be tied to that IP, domain and directory.

oceanx
Where exactly do you reissue license? I've logged in and looked around but do not see any link to reissue my key. I must not be seeing it.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted September 25, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted September 25, 2009 If your licence is from your host or a reseller, you will need to contact them to do it.
