Funboy
Hi to all, Has anyone upgraded their server to PHP 5.2.10 stable? I unfortunately did this on my Centos 64-bit server and now seem unable to access the main admin control panel of WHMCS 4.01. It is my understanding this is something to do with zend and iconcube, which results in the interface bouncing the username and password. I would be very grateful for advise on how to possibly fix this without having to revert to the previous version of PHP and all the hassle that goes with trying to do it. netandino
good afternoon on whether the mine runs on PHP 5.2.10 the problem may be some serious internal error that there will Tiket to support from your account and it delivers your data to WHMCS greetings
mylove4life
I'm not 100% sure, but the iconecude might not work with the newest php, I'd ask at there forum as it might be a easy fix.
Funboy
Hi again, Just upgraded to WHMCS 4.02 with the same results, you are able to login and are then presented with a blank page? This then got me thinking about when I first installed WHMCS and had to edit the php.ini, hey presto for some odd reason under zend there was now additional line for inoncube. So I re-added it problem solved. I also rechecked the the additional security links for the three folders "attachments", "downloads" and "templates_c" all of which were still OK. Not sure why the PHP.ini was altered but at least were working and that will do me. Regards Mark
InterServed
I think it's your server side php settings as I'm running php 5.2.10 and whmcs 4.0.2 without any problems. PHP-5.2.10 -> http://www.interserved.com/phpinfo.php WHMCS working -> http://www.interserved.com/clients/

herpherp
works fine here too.... Maybe you are using php 5.3.0?
mylove4life
Maybe it's 5.3 I'm thinking about inoncube on working with yet.
Lawrence
Maybe it's 5.3 I'm thinking about inoncube on working with yet. 5.3 introduces a number of changes that will break many scripts that have not been updated recently, such as disabling the old style long arrays like $HTTP_POST_VARS and co. I won't be upgrading any of our servers to it until it gets more testing.
JofleyUK
I would try to remove all the files from the "templates_c" folder first, we have 5.2.10 working 100% from a fresh install on x64. Also on a another server we upgraded from 5.2.8 to 5.2.10. All working in order, reseller clients are using a mix of CE and WHMCS and AW*S. With no aparent issues. I would deffo stay clear of 5.3.x, WOW the problems it's going to create are phenominal. But there ya go, my 2 pence worth as usual.
directiz
I'm having the same problem getting the Critical Error Could not connect to the database can anyone help?
timgws
Hmmm, I am running WHMCS 4.0.2, with PHP 5.2.10, and it is running fine here. @directiz, see if you are able to conncet to the database using the command line 'mysql' application, and see if it is possible that you have the wrong settings in your configuration.php file. Also, and I now this might sound a bit stupid - but check that you are running MySQL. My testing setup here does not have MySQL starting by default, and that error did baffle me for a good ten minutes
