JD3000
Hi, May I ask help what could be the reason why my whmcs system is not generating Hosting Account Welcome Email after a client sign up for hosting account? It is the email that gives instruction how to set up the website, password, username, etc. Other emails are received such as welcome email for domain registration, invoice except that one.... WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 30, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 30, 2009 Do you have the package to be created on payment or upon accepting the order? And is it showing as successful when run in the activity log?
Keiro
Something similar to this problem for me. My WHMCS is not creating the packages then creating the Hosting Account Welcome Email. It does, however, successfully send the welcome e-mail once I click Create inside the Products/Services tab in Client's Profile. So... why is it not setting up the account even though it's set up to do it "As soon as order is completed."
JD3000
it shows in the activity log as successful. I already checked in the Products/services tab > details and the welcome email is chosen but my next problem after the email is now generated... the login details like the username, password, etc. are blank...

Keiro
Ok... so I click Create. no welcome e-mail sent. I have to manually send it. What are the possible reasons for it fouling up and not sending e-mails like it should? >_>
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 31, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 31, 2009 A welcome email won't be sent when you manually click the Create module command button. You should accept the order instead and ensure the send welcome email checkbox is ticked or set it to auto create on payment.

Where can it be found? >_> Edit: I know the e-mail system works, since I'm getting Cron Job Activity e-mails every 15 minutes even though there's no real need for it to be at 15 minutes... I set it that way until I knew what was going on with the e-mail sendings for hosting account e-mails.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 1, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 1, 2009 Order > Pending > Click the order ID. You should only be running the automation cron once a day, not every 15 minutes.
