maknet
We occasionally charge for domain names, and then manually process them. Is the domain-module used for this purpose? or should we add in a new custom field to just put in domain names (for sorting purposes). Any help is appreciated. I'm not sure i totally understand the side-effects of the domain module. Thanks, Lawrence
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 29, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 29, 2009 Sure, it'd make your life a lot easier to use the domain name system. If you don't want to automate it, you can just choose the Email module in Setup > Domain Pricing.
maknet
I guess i'm just a little confused over what the side-effects are. That's where most of my questions are about the WHMCS system are about actually. I'm afraid it will have an unintended consequence. So if i had a TLD of COM and e-mail, what will it do / won't it do? WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 29, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 29, 2009 It would email your clients when the domains near expiry, and invoice them if you want. If they pay the invoice it'll send you an email letting you know to login at your registrar and renew it.
