How does it work?

Question

Hi, just trying to get a grasp on how this works.. Been playing around a bit with AWBS specially since it as well as the billing part, but also can drive the actual website thats visible to everybody where they can see prices and such..

Thats not the case in WHMCS? With WHMCS you need to get a website designed first that holds the basic shopping cart option, see prices and packages, but once they click checkout/go to payment, whmcs takes over?

Yes you Deisgn your site, and insert your buy link on your buy buttons, once the client clicks the button it goes into whmcs mode per say, ask the client for their details, sends them to the payment gateway, logs the payment, makes the account, emails the user their details, - it handles all of the running of the server as far as billing, suspending of accounts, terminating of account, domain registering/transfers/renewals *

* if enabled

Ahh ok, so the "buy this item" button, links to a function in WHMCS.

So, I create cPanel packages, various prices for domain registration, ssl certificates etc etc in WHMCS and each product/package gets URL that I point "buy this item" to.

User click on for example buy 2 year of QuickSSL premium certificate, then WHMCS kicks in asks for FQDN and what ever else info is required to purchace the SSL certificate, asks the user to log in, and WHMCS modules will take care of getting the certificate, charge the users credit card/paypal account, notify me/user when the certificate is about to expire and all these other normal billing things.

I am understanding it correctly?

One question before I head for trial. I am specially worried about SSL certificate reselling, are there good howtos or even better, wizards for how to set up reselling of certificates trough enom for example.

Like, what information to get from customer (FQDN, state, country etc), whats the process and such. How this info is setup to be requested in WHMCS..

or is it as simple as, start reselling QuickSSL premium for price so and so via enom, QuickSSL for price so and so, and the modules know it self that it should ask customer for FQDN, state, country etc..

The e-mail this is sent to is the e-mail the user registrer it self with on my site?

Last question, if I go with a website template from templatemonster or what ever. Can that be integrated without too much hassle in to WHMCS?
