fearmydesign
Hello, I just want to make sure that you are able to automate the whole ordering process and automatic account creation with WHMCS and my server (WHM/Cpanel), correct? I am still trying to figure out how to do this. I have already setup the server and it is connected, but I can't seem to figure out how a client would place an order for hosting and have the program automatically create the account and assign a username and password for the FTP account. I don't see where the client would put their domain information either so that the server generates the account. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Regards,
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 19, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 19, 2009 Yes WHMCS will do all that, I recommend you take a look through our video setup tutorials @ http://whmcs.com/tutorials.php The client enters all the information on the order form @ http://yourdomain.com/whmcs/cart.php
fearmydesign
John, thank you but I have another problem, I have seen the video. When I go to create a new account and order a service through my client portal, there is an option to put a username and password but this is for the client portal log in; it never asks about a domain name or anything like that to generate that account through WHMCS into my WHM/Cpanel....any idea how I can automatically do this, or set it up? THank you for your help

fearmydesign
Have you got the Domain Registration Options ticked in Setup > General Settings > Domains tab? John, I tried creating a new order through the customer portal, and when I go back to my admin area, I see this error in the Recent Activity; Module Create Failed - Service ID: 7 - Error: Sorry, resellers are not permitted to create subdomains of the server's main domain
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 20, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 20, 2009 Are you using cPanel/WHM? You'll need to tweak your settings in WHM. It might be best to post your cart URL so we can take a look.

fearmydesign
I GOT IT!!!! uuffff!!! Ok, so it was something very dumb! I had to Tick the box for Require Domain under Details of my product. Now it asks for a domain name and it generates the account on the server once it's paid. Thanks for all your help
