iPhone / iPod Touch template

Recommended Posts

Greetings all.

We have been working on this template for iPhone / iPod touch users to allow users of these devices to access WHMCS quickly and easily without having to zoom in or out.

This template is designed to look exactly like an iPhone application and even has properdropdown menu's and input boxes (see screenshots).

Radio buttons are also replaced with "On" / "Off" switches indicative of the iPhone UI.

Just emailed ya.

Looks good. Maybe you should add this to the APP Store at apple.com

There is an unofficial one there for WHMCS but it's useless. I'll let you know what I think of yours when I've tried it out.

Yeah I noticed that. Unfortunately this version is only a template for the mobile version. We are working on an appstore version that will run the API but there are some limitations.

I am very interested in your feedback on this version. We are still making changes to it and making it better as we speak (ofcourse updates are free).

Some notes: Please be aware that at this stage the template is only for the mobile version of whmcs (admin area) only.. We are working on a client side version but there will be a short wait before we build that up.

Hmmm, just get a blank page when I go to the /mobile/ folder. A little concerned about all of the extra folders in there, ie iwebkit, a zip file and pics of californication etc ?

Wondering if my mobile version is compatible with version 4.02. Doesn't seem to anywhere to download any updated version in my WHMCS client area and I'm not getting anything license error page either, and you can't seem to re-issue a new licence for the mobile version.

Hi Si,

So you have a mobile edition license?

If you need to re-issue your license, you can go to:

http://yourwhmcslocation/mobile/licenseerror.php?licenseerror=invalid

The template is designed to allow you to re-enter your license information here. The mobile edition of WHMCS does not allow you to "re-issue" your license the way the full version does.

We had to include the iwebkit directory in the zip due to licensing requirements.

Thanks.

Hi Rabbie,

Yep I have a mobile license. Tried that url already, but nothing shows up. Everything is just blank.

Baffled.

I've raised a support ticket with Matt.

Thanks for that....all good now. It was obviously my mobile version files were old.

First comment: Good. However, can you make the box where we type our replies to tickets a little larger (height). I'll probably amend that in the template myself ok, but just for others in future. It's a little tight scrolling, especially if you have a signature in there.

I'll feedback more, once I've had more of a look around. Impressed though so far.

just added rows="10" to line 161 in the viewticket.tpl file: Sorted nicely.

On the clients page, it would be good to have some sort of a filter/search or I'd be forever scrolling through pages trying to find individuals.

and/or

Could you hyperlink the clients name in the support ticket page so that we can go from there to the clients profile?

Honest opinion on this:

BRILLIANT - JUST TOTALLY BRILLIANT!!!

I've just answered support tickets - easily, and love the way it works and adapts to landscape mode.

Customers have just been placing orders. Reviewing the orders, rabbie has also included maxmind fraud results in there. Accepting orders, answering tickets and viewing all of the major information I need to view (and more than I expected) very easily and quickly. Tidy.

I've added a hyperlink back to the TICKETS page at the bottom of the viewtickets.tpl page as some tickets can be long and it's a long scroll back to the top.

The main thing I see this needs at this stage is a filter for locating clients. Other than that, this is a totally amazing addition.

LEt's just hope Matt can sort out this stupid IP logging out so that I can actually make use of this in a 3G environment.

Well done.

I've had some more time to play with the template (even wrapped it into a simple iPhone App for my phone) and everything looks good except that on the initial login page the text where you enter your Username and Password doesn't line up properly. Do you have a fix for this? I'll attach a screenshot of what I mean. Everything else seems to be displaying correctly though!

Hi There,

Unfortunately not no, I believe the missalignment is occurring due to the way the iPhone UI and wrapper handles the input fields. It works using the iphone safari browser.

I think the only it will work in an app is if an actual app is written to use the API which is what we are currently working on.

Thanks.
