Jake09
Hi I have WHMCS 4.0.0 installed. To patch do I need to go from 4.0.0 > 4.0.1 > 4.0.2 OR just get 4.0.2 and apply it to my 4.0.0 install? Also, where can I read about how exactly to patch the install? Thanks

Jake09
Before I do that... can anyone else answer this simple question or point me in the right direction?
TheSidewinder
The 4.0.2 patch file I downloaded (from here I believe) was specifically for upgrading 3.8.2 -OR- 4.0.1, but had warnings about *not* using it with any other version. If I were you, I'd open a Support ticket.
keliix06
You cannot upgrade from 4.0.0 to 4.0.2 with the patch file. You would just use the full download of 4.0.2.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 11, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 11, 2009 You should apply 4.0.1 incremental AND 4.0.2 patch.
RenatoMN
Just a note: install 4.0.1 incremental, then ACCESS YOUR WHMCS at least 1 time (admin and customer view) and only after apply the patch. Otherwise, you will be locked in the "We are currently performing maintenance and will be back shortly." screen. (For those who may find this post after got into this trouble: just re-upload the files clientarea.php, dbconnect.php and includes/clientfunctions.php from the 4.0.1 incremental again, ACCESS WHMCS, and then re-upload 4.0.2 patch).
