Diesel
I have seen a few questions posted here about this, but none of the threads I have found answers my problem. A client has an existing hosting package and domain name with me. They want to add a new domain name and point it to their existing hosting package. Every time they try to apply for it via WHMCS the system asks them to add a hosting account, but instead of inviting them to use an existing one, they get asked to register a new one. I'm sure this must be a simple setting somewhere that I have to change, but I can't seem to see it now. Any help?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 4, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 4, 2009 Have the client order a standalone domain registration, WHMCS doesn't need to know it's related to the hosting package.
Diesel
Well that's the thing. If you try to order a new domain it is asking for you to order hosting too. I can't figure out how to switch that off.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 4, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 4, 2009 I can't see anywhere it forces users to use a hosting plan. Unless you're referring to the "[No Hosting! Click to Add]" link on the domain config. page? That's just a link to do a bit of upselling. You can remove it from /orderforms/*your active template*/configuredomains.tpl if you wish.
