Configurable Hosting Package Addon

I have bought that that addon for like 2-3 months if I remember correctly.

First, it's hard to setup and configure it. Very hard.

Second, it doesn't make the packages that configurable.

Third, the customers doesn't use it. We've had it for that long and we have NONE use of it. Maybe because we have 6 different webhosting packages which are enough for our clients.

If I could test it for a month or two, I wouldn't buy it again. Or if I have already paid it, I would ask for a refund :)

Notice: this is my personal opinion and experience. Someone else may have another one.

Does any use this? Do they find it's worth paying out nearly £50 ($80) for?

We've been considering it for a while, but thought i'd ask what others think.

Its easy to set your own up without purchasing the addon.

1) set up a plan name it "design your own package"

2) use the configurable option and addon option to set up items like extre space/bandwidth etc.

the only thing is you may have to set this manually in WHM

I have and use the module for all of our "build your own" plans. Works great and was very easy to set up (contrary to what is posted above).

It works well if you do not want to manually set up plans and/or have a different business model than a bunch of preconfigured plans. Letting the customer build their own package works well if your clients are more sophisticated when it comes to hosting knowledge - they can get what they want, how much of it, etc.

It opens up a whole new easy method of upselling to customers. They review their plan and can see the upgrades available. It is a quick matter of them saving the changes and WHMCS bills for the difference and adjusts their monthly bill. We love it. Customers upgrade with zero support required. :)

I am curious if anyone has any updated feed back on this module?

Yes, I use it and it takes the "legwork" out of having to physically configure the options in WHM that I previously offered to clients. That way there is no delay in any orders or upgrades for the additional options offered.

I guess I'm just lazy........
