MH-Stefan
Only one feature which I've been eagerly waiting for isn't working - PDF batch. Did anyone test it yet? Does it work or is it just me? Nevermind, it actually works. I only had to copy invoicepdf.tpl in all templates directory. Now I'm really enjoying this release.
dkent
2Checkout only lets you have one currency for your customers to be billed in, that's why I had to purchase two 2Checkout merchant accounts, so I could bill in both Dollar and Pound. I'm just wondering how I am supposed to collect payment now due to the "convert currency" option being in place.
ServWise.com
Version 4 upgrade was smooth but. What if you have products you want to price in GBP? Under the current setup it converts USD to GBP - what do we need this for?? When a user wants to signup for a Product you want to list as his currency it show USD! If I send an invoice to Paypal in GBP they will convert it as will most Merchants. The purpose of having support for more than one type of money is so we can sell things in that currency. Using USD's as the base can cost us money should the dollar drop. Suppose you have a server in the UK and are paying British Pounds for it. Now the dollar drops to half due to good old Uncle Sam printing too many bucks. Well you are now taking in less money due to server costs going up double. Why do you want to take on what a merchant or other payment services all ready do? Just set the new invoices to GBP and the product price to GBP and forget about conversions. Setup the API to pass the type of currency to the merchant and let him worry about it! Or do a convert at bill time before you send it in. Vin Just change the USD currency values to GBP/£/GBP and that will be your base currency. Then add secondary currencies as you need. Conversions in reports will be to GBP etc. But as has been said you can set all prices independently, you don't have to use automatic currency exchange unless you want too. My vote for 4.1 would be to be able to set every product individually if it is updated automatically or not so we can have some products fixed and some based on changing exchange rates.
EastsideHosting
I'm loving V4. Now I think the support system needs a Live Chat Module and I think it will be set. Currently don't use the support system with WHMCS, I use Kayako but maybe switching and continue to use the Live Chat Feature in Kayako. Trying to figure out how to take old invoices and 'send to collections'. The 'Client Area Tabs' seems not be AJAX properly like the others. Love the currency feature, Going to have to upgrade my site code. I own .ca domain names and .co.uk so if clients are from that side it will be redirected to that side with converted rates from the billing system.
dkent
I'm currently using set rates, so no conversion rates are made at all, therefore there is a set rate in USD and one in GBP. After understanding how the whole multi-currency works, I may end up switching to conversion rates. So far it sounds easy to set up as in the Currency page it lets you manually update the currency at the touch of a button - which changes all set pricing automatically - nice!
WebzPro
Well I have to say that every time in the last year since we moved over to WHMCS the upgrades have always gone smoothly. Everything seems to be working for us including Kayako integration. Great job again WHMCS for making it nice and easy for us.
sanfranciscohost
Hi Matt, Love the new look! We are playing with it now. Wondering if when we roll our mouse over the "setup" tab is it supposed to cover the top banner like that? Maybe its just me and I am using Firefox on Fedora 10. It also shows the same behavior in Firefox on a Mac, and Safari on a Mac kind of sticking on pages not advancing to the linked page. Haven't checked it yet in IE. Dunno. Also, where can we see passwords for the billing login of a client? All we see is "enter to change". Maybe I am missing something? Love the direction though, very nice. Well done! vincent_g
Yes you could just put in prices in british pounds but if you do then do not update or it will wipe out your prices and re-price it all based on main setup currency. It's usesable as I did get this to work with this website http://cwshosting.co.uk/ But I still don't know why we are doing conversions. Does it send in the invoice to the merchant as GBP or is it that it will use the USD based on the conversion which is what I think it's doing. Tell me I am wrong. gupi
V4 is more than ok. Upgrade went flawlessly. I have a suggestion: when defining security questions, language should be part of the process. A question in French may seem nothing for a Chinese customer. Having the ability to create multilingual questions would help a lot.
keliix06
Also, where can we see passwords for the billing login of a client? All we see is "enter to change". Maybe I am missing something? If I'm not mistaken the passwords are now MD5 encrypted, so you won't be able to see them. That was a part of the new security updates.
Real Webspace
This has just become the most pretiest billing and client management system on the hosting market! I am very impressed with all the new fetures. I found a tiny bug and hope here is the right place for it: In /admin/configticketspamcontrol.php the JS doesn't seem to load the tabs correctly. No matter witch tab i select i get all my blocked address. Is it just me? Otherwise Great job guys! A package well worth the wait and money!
EastsideHosting
I'm loving it. I may have found a bug with Cast Control but might be related to this. I'm running: 1.4.4.6 of Cast Control and upgraded to WHMCS V4 and caused it not to work properly. It created the ports, but didn't update properly in WHMCS and therefore couldn't use the automated services. I opened a backup of the last one I used and restored that one and was working successfully. I may have to upgrade my Cast Control to use an updated version of it, but for now I'm sastisfied with it or at least confirm this maybe a bug or not. Also had to re-install my CastControlResellers forgetting doesn't come standard as its an addon.
spectrumhosting
Just got my email about i've been upgraded .. Now I can't access anything .. my billing system is gone .. I just get blank pages .. Pretty happy at this point .. I also made a post a few days ago about the slowness of the paid upgrade service, I'm a little disappointed to see that post has been deleted .. there was nothing inappropriate in it.
vincent_g
Question for all Do you think it is unheard of to have existing clients wanting to switch their billing to their own currency from USD to say what ever theirs is?? This is what the company had to say about it and I disagree. It makes no sense that an existing client would want to change currency and it would alter all previous accounting rules.
isdoo
All depends upon your tax rules. For example in the UK, HM Customs & Excise say you must invoice in UKP if charging VAT - you can't invoice in USD and add VAT. I am not sure how UK hosts that charge VAT will get around this.

yamaharr1
If anyone offers ID protection go in and check it after the update it was set to be offered for free. How does something like that go over looked in an update? If this was a free billing system I "might" be able to understand it but not at the costs being paid for this. Someone needs to raise the bar when a release is made as this is not the first time I have lost money because of a bug. I don't appreciate being the developers bug tester, that wasn't part of the deal.
yamaharr1
Does anyone even know where the pricing went for the ID protection I no longer even see it to configure the price and stop offering it for free.

But with this new feature the customer will be able to know how much that is on his currency maybe in a second total field: Total in USD $100,00
Aztech
I had this issue and since I upload all new files but the configuration file, I forgot to CHMOD the folders templates and templates_c and worked fine. Hi, I had the same issue after upgrade from 3.8.2. All pages were blank. Changed permissions on templates_c and all worked fine. Interface looks very nice. Good work WHMCS team!!!
