mjdj1999
I have purchased this but I am getting this when I try to view my product on your site. mjdj1999
GlobalMedia has resolved my issue and I have just installed the addon. However there are no licenses left and I have a feeling this is going to get expensive. I was right. The support sometimes takes more than a day to respond and the file to me is useless. The certs are over priced. My opinion on this script would be to use the Enom addon that comes with WHMCS. I am not satisfied in any way with this addon. On a side note if you are looking for this addon, send me a PM and I would be more than happy to give it away for less than cost. My rating for this addon is poor (because of the expensive certs).
jozeph
Hey mjdj, I just don't understanding. How you are not satisfied with this addon using the prices as reason? This addon just interact with GeoTrust and ALL prices come from GeoTrust. The module has nothing to do with it. Note that you need to be a 'registered reseller' on GeoTrust to get this module working. Speak ill of the module using this excuse does not justify, because you can talk with your Sales Representative do assign a 'contract' with low costs. If you read the GeoTrust terms, you will see that is possible to get certs with low cost and they have different ways to do this. Otherwise, if you are using the 'pay-as-go', of course you'll have expensive prices. I do not agree that you speak ill of the module, because it works exactly as it should be. It is used to interact with the API of GeoTrust, and that he does correctly. If you are not satisfied with the price, I suggest talking with your sales representative. Access the GeoTrust site, reseller area and any information about your representatives should be found in the lower left side of the site. ALL active contracts between me and GeoTrust (you can see that contracts in reseller area) have lower prices than Enom, but you need to talk with your sales representative for this and use a pre-paid plan, not Pay-as-go. I was right. The support sometimes takes more than a day to respond and the file to me is useless. The certs are over priced. My opinion on this script would be to use the Enom addon that comes with WHMCS. I am not satisfied in any way with this addon. mjdj1999
Jozeph you are probably correct about this being a good module and it very well could be. I had never made any statements that it was a bad module. My statements are against the services that it links to. You are not correct on your prices and may need to review them unless I missed something. I will use the cheaper of the options for my example which is the QuickSSL Premium. Enom QuickSSL Premium: $99/ year (this price is without reseller discount) GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium: $145/ per unit (this is with the reseller discount pay as you go) Same cert but $46 cheaper. I use Enom for everything else and I was thinking that this would be just another added option for my clients and after purchase I found that I was going to have to setup a whole other reseller account and was not going to get any discounts for being a reseller. My understanding of this addon was that I could install it, setup a reseller plan (with whoever) and resell certs. I had seen that RapidSSL was on there as an option and I have clients that use it and I had thought that this would be a better automated system for them and I was wrong. I do know that I had purchased this addon out of ignorance and I am not going to try to cover that up with anger or by saying this is a poor module. The product that I had ordered here: https://www.globalmedia.com.br/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=1 Says that you support these certs: Support for: RapidSSL, QuickSSL, QuickSSLPremium, PowerServerID, TrueBizID, TrueBizIDEV, SecureSite, SecureSitePro, SecureSiteEV and SecureSiteProEV Most of my clients myself included use RapidSSL as stated above for $9.95/ yr. from Enom.com SSL List. However when you sign up for the Geotrust reseller the RapidSSL is not an option as seen in the "Pay as you go" products below at Geotrust.com and as described in Global Media's product information. https://products.geotrust.com/geocenter/reseller/register.do As you can see this as I stated before can be very expensive and I do not recommend this for anyone starting out in web hosting with a small client base like myself. My knowledge of SSL is limited as far as RapidSSL and the alternatives. I use the RapidSSL from Enom because of the low price. I am sure you have many clients that use and love this addon and that it is perfect for their system. I am just saying that it is not for me and not what I had expected from it. I would also like to let everyone reading this know that I had installed this addon but never used it because of the prices Geotrust were charging. I cannot give any input on the quality, performance or reliability of this product because it was never used. After installation and review of the product I immediately notified Global Media and explained that I had no use for this product that it was not what I had thought and that it was removed from my server. I had kindly asked for a refund that was declined because I had already downloaded the product. This was all in the same day. It had taken someone two (2) days to respond to my request that was immediately denied. This brings me to my personal opinion of Global Media. I purchased a product from them that I never used and there was no financial loss to them and had explained that it would never be used by myself, my clients or by my company and still could not get a refund. It was my mistake and I have taken financial loss for my ignorance and I cannot hold Global Media responsible for this. This was definitely a learning experience for me. This message is my own personal opinion and experience with Global Media and I am sure that this situation is not a normal occurance and should not be a determining factor for your purchase of this addon. You should however read all documentation and investigate this addon to make sure that it will work in your specific situation and environment before you purchase it unlike I did.
jozeph
Hi mjdj1999, How I said in last post, you really need to contact your 'Sales Representative' from GeoTrust, because they can add RapidSSL and every other certificate that you would like to resell. When you signup, they have a 'default' profile or something like that is not available some certificates. If you contact your sales representative, they will add/signup your new contract and all others certificates will be available for you to be reselled. Comment about the prices and show the differences between these prices and they can change and charge less for it. You really need to negotiate with your sales representative from GeoTrust. They are open to talk. Your sales representative information will be available on the left side bottom. You will see a complete contact information, with phone and email.
mjdj1999
I will try to make contact with someone from GeoTrust to see what they can do. One other thing, how on earth do you change the language on the GlobalMedia site? I had it in English once and it has reverted back to default. Thank you for your support on this Jozeph.
jozeph
I'm contacting GeoTrust too. I'm trying to negotiate with GeoTrust to get some differential for WHMCS GeoTrust SSL Module users. I will keep you updated!!! About the site language, note that only pages related with module can be accessed in english, because all rest is not translated. As your default language is english, maybe you can try to login into clientarea or just insert the tag language in URL. jozeph
Hi, Unfortunately, they said that each user must sign an own contract and depending quantity of certificates the user purchase on the first time the prices can be decreased. The best way to solve doubts about this issue is contacting GeoTrust directly. Thanks, Jozeph did you get a return from geaotrust for WHMCS's user ? Thanks for answer. Lawrence
Does your module support SSL renewals? The official eNom one does not it seems. I would like to have the product set to bill annually and simply renew the SSL for the client.

glipschitz
Hi Jozeph, I'm trying to work out how to get the multi-year certificates working. In your module you can set the maximum number of years but I cannot see anywhere as to how the end user selects whether it is one, two, three years etc. I would expect this is done as a Configurable Option called Years and then you set the pricing against this? Can you please clarify how exactly to do this. Many thanks. Greg
