td7
It appears that the domain transfer function is not working. It shows the domain name as taken but no way to carry out the completion of a transfer. When I put in the domain name and have the radio button selected for transfer, it only gives me output that it is taken and that is it. I cannot perform any other action with it. Seems like something is not working properly. I should be able to complete an online transaction for the domain transfer. Thanks, Tommy

chickendippers
Are the whois results correct for new registrations as well? Is it possible that your server firewall is blocking whois queries?
sparky
Check that EPP Code is checked in domain pricing for the corresponding domain.
CW2305
The renew works fine for me. And all EPP Code boxes are checked. Should it even be sending a whois query as a transfer request? I tried all order form templates, and still the same problem. Thanks. CW
td7
In my situation it was as simple as enabling a payment gateway. My cart would not proceed to the next step without a payment gateway set to active. TD
peku
I have problem with transfer. Patty
What I noticed is that, on the default theme, when checking to transfer the domain upon ordering, if I enter a non-existing domain, it will tell me it's unavailable and if I hit the Continue button, it won't take me anywhere. No error messages, nothing. On the other hand, if I enter for instance google.com, it will tell me it's available for transfer and will let me go ahead. I can even change the option from tranferring to registering a new domain on the same page and it will let me register it.

Patty
that would be correct, you cannot *TRANSFER* a domain has not already been registered ... so showing "unavailable" (for transfer) and going no further would be normal Yes, of course, but an error message explaining that like it used to be would be nice so clients won't get confused. They could mistyped the domain and not even realize that, so they won't know what's going on when they can't go to the next step of the order process. In any case, it shouldn't let me register google.com as a new domain and it's allowing that.
othellotech
In any case, it shouldn't let me register google.com as a new domain and it's allowing that. Then you have a problem with your whois lookup as it's not possible in WHMCS to *register* an existing domain.

WhyMan
Hi there, I believe i have a similar issue, have client with just hosting account & domain reg'd with tucows.. now client wants to transfer domain to us.. (Directi) Now after selecting the domain to transfer & hitting the "Check Availability" button he get's "# The domain you entered is already registered with us - you will need to cancel it prior to placing a new order # " which is not right it's still reg'd through Tucows?? Any Suggestions? Cheers.. ;-)

Any Suggestions? Cheers.. ;-) Hi that is sort of correct because there is a hosting account in your system for the domain but whmcs should allow for transfers. You can do this: go to whmcs admin /config/general settings/ ordering and uncheck - Tick this box to prevent orders being placed for domains already in your system

WhyMan
Hi, I'm back, thanks for the info simplybe but i've now run into a problem with a .us transfer. Seems there's something pearshaped in regards to the Nexus information? this is the error i get from WHMCS An Error Occured DirectI Error - The Application Purpose and Nexus Category for the .US domain Registrant are not specified Any ideas where i go from here? I do have the proper nexus category Cheers.. ;-)
JerusaHost- Mark
that would be correct, you cannot *TRANSFER* a domain has not already been registered ... so showing "unavailable" (for transfer) and going no further would be normal that explains it. I think a line like "that domain is not currently registered or was registered within the last 30 days" would help clarify. Will add this to features request. Thanks!
