AndrewMKP
The readme.txt file needs to be more detailed, accurate and current for people updating. If your response is to be "Pay for the upgrade service" then why allow any users to update their own files at all. Regards, Andrew
isdoo
Perhaps it should refer people to the relevant section of the wiki documents. (it might already do - haven't checked)
Matt Wade
What more are you looking for? This last release has: To upgrade your WHMCS System, simply follow the instructions below. 1. Unzip the contents of the zip file to a folder on your computer 2. If you have made any customisations to the following files, you should delete them from the new files before uploading - images/logo.jpg - includes/actionhooks.php - includes/additionaldomainfields.php - includes/pdfconfig.php - includes/whoisservers.php 3. Upload the files to your existing installation folder overwriting any existing files 4. Run the upgrade script at http://www.yourdomain.com/whmcs/install/install.php PLEASE REMEMBER: Before running any upgrade, you should always backup your database. 5. Once complete, delete the install folder from your web server. 6. It is important to always remember to update your templates. As you could be upgrading from any version, there could be numerous changes you need to make. For this update, the following template files have changed and may need updating: - announcements.tpl - viewannouncement.tpl - bulkdomainchecker.tpl - bulkdomaintransfer.tpl - domainchecker.tpl - clientareacreditcard.tpl - creditcard.tpl - downloads.tpl - downloadscat.tpl - knowledgebase.tpl - knowledgebasecat.tpl - knowledgebasearticle.tpl - supportticketslist.tpl - viewticket.tpl - networkissues.tpl - quotepdf.tpl 7. The upgrade is now complete. What more do you need? What is lacking?

VicToMeyeZR
It looked good to me. I didn't have any problems per-sea. Told me which TPL files I need to change and which ones to look for in the upgrade. Pretty good readme.txt if you ask me
