WHMCS and cPanel reseller accounts

jteerman

Question

How does WHMCS handle cPanel reseller accounts. Our resellers will be allowed to create their own accounts. I will need to be able to bill the reseller each month based on what accounts they have set up (they will bill their customers directly) based on the package that each of their customers have.

I assume this is fairly typical but haven't seen any details on it.

Thanks!

Jeff

Yes, this would be a WHM account. The primary reseller account could be setup thru WHMCS or directly thru WHM. As the reseller signs up new accounts, they will bill their customers for the service. I, in turn, need to be able to bill the reseller (at a discounted price) for these accounts. I'm not sure how to get this information and how to automate the billing.

So the reseller would just buy another account from us and his account in WHMCS would have a discount % to reduce his price?

You cant give an account a discount, you can just give the buyer (your reseller) a promo code for whatever discount you want to give.

We will have seperate reseller plans rather than giving them 'discounts'.

We will set up a larger package for the reseller with WHM access, we bill them for that space as a whole. If you wish to bill them per customer then you should be refering to the affiliate scheme.
