netearth
Latest news: The revocation of accreditation has been stayed. ICANN made the announcement http://www.icann.com/en/announcements/announcement-2-29oct08-en.htm. See the reply from estdomains on ICANN's site, http://www.icann.com/correspondence/poltev-to-burnette-29oct08-en.pdf Still doesnt go down too well...
othellotech
They've been reported as scammers far too often to survive long-term anyway - possibly the best thing that could happen is a bluk tran to another registrar Personally I can see the "credit-crunch" having an impact on the very budget domain companies and expect quite a few to merge/go bust/vanish throughout 2009
handsonwebhosting
For now, I guess they get to stay around (since they removed the guy who was convicted of crimes etc). I'd much rather see things go back how they were 10 years ago with just a handful of places to register from. Writing all these articles on how to transfer from "X" registrar to us is a pain in the neck
KAIDOK
Absolutely agree with that. 10 years ago it was far more simple. You knew who you needed to talk to and you knew what you were getting.
