  1. 1. Best Domain Registrar?

Recommended Posts

I am new to web hosting and WHMCS so I haven't had to deal with any domain registrars yet. I was hoping you guys could give me some reccomendations as to which one is the best domain registrar to go with.

Registerfly, Enom, and Directi are in the WHMCS admin panel already to be selected. So I assume I should go with one of these 3.

What are your opinions on these 3? Which is the best all around? Or should I choose some other registrar?

I agree... enom is the best for service/speed/ease of use. I have registerfly also, but their API is slow and loading a customers domain tab in WHMCS takes longer to load as it's waiting for a response from registerfly for ns details. enom is faster and more reliable and have always responded to my questions within a few hours.

Registerfly is certainly cheaper - but my account with enom is just about 50 cents more so its worth it for me to pay the $0.50 and stay with them as opposed to making an extra half-dollar and dealing with the frustrations.

I don't know i went from registerfly, to enom. When I was at Enom i loved it but then i had lot of functions in registerfly that enom does not have.. Registerfly i kept with cause i dont want to goa nd have to move all my domains.. I got 3domains there last month and they wouldnt go through and it really ticked me off the techs were real dumb so right now im looking for a new domain registerar i might try Directi

Any update on this (since the last comment, six years ago)? I'm setting up my hosting business and would like to get this part "right" the first time. ;)

WHMCS 5.x works with so many registrars that it's overwheming!

and no mention of namesilo.com ??

Moving all my domains to them from enom. Cheaper, fantastic support, and they don't charge for dumping credit into your account. (unlike greedy enom who make profits from crediting your account and then from high prices for domains).

And finally, namesilo.com = free whois id protection. :-) why on earth would you look anywhere else? :-)

An oh yes: you're not at the mercy of an enom reseller (if you don't have your own direct enom account) who can put your prices up at any time. NADA.

FWIW, Si: Namesile is not on the list of Supported Domain Registrars.

What does that mean? There is a namesilo registrar module and I've moved everything I can to them from enom.....they're brilliant. Sometimes you got to look at the big picture and ask yourself 'why are they not on the support regiatrars list?' :-)

The original question was: Best Domain Registrar - not Best Registrar on the WHMCS list
