Si
I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I can't seem to find it. We have set our maxmind account to telephone verify ALL new orders (ie with a score of 0 or above) following a seriously high number of fraud incidents in the past month. It seems to me that once a customer has passed this initial check and has an active account and wants to place another order for a new service, that it would make sense not to go through the telephone verification process again. Hassle for the customer each time, and costly to us (especially on low cost items like when they order IP's etc). Is it possible to turn off telephone verification for existing clients? chickendippers
I don't know about Maxmind, but Varilogix has an option in their control panel to bypass the telephone verification for existing customers.

charliez
For the US: Maxmind - 0.26 / call Telesign - 0.25 Varilogix - 0.35 For most other countries: Maxmind - 0.55 / call Telesign - 0.46 Varilogix - 1.65+ !!!!
Si
Yea, that's what puts me off varilogix. That and the fact that I want the maxmind fraud checking features as well. OK, maxmind doesn't give the customer the option to specify when the call is made, but for most, they're placing the order now, so they can answer a phone, now. I'm thinking more about something within WHMCS that would check to see if the customer is an ACTIVE customer with an ACTIVE account and if so, bypass fraud checking rather than passing the 'this is an active/inactive client' information to maxmind/varilogix etc. Si
charliez
That is a great idea... and maybe not so hard to implement. That would go in the WHMCS module and the provider would not even know... I would also like the ability to use maxmind fraud with telesign phone verification. Maxmind uses telesign and charges a bit more...
othellotech
I mentioned this about a year ago Clients with a live/active package shouldnt need to go through the telephone verification everytime as you've (presumably) already authenticated them ... Woudl love to see this in WHMCS Rob
