ivanrk
Hello, I have installed whmcs 3.6.2 on mysql with utf_general_ci collation for the database and changed the charset from admin-localisation tab to utf-8. Now when I enter non english text from admin area it is displaying correctly in the admin and client area but when I open the tblclients with phpMyadmin - the text is not readable. In the same time if i edit the text in the table tblclients with phpmyadmin /utf-8 encoding/ everything is fine /it is readable in phpmyadmin and whmcs/. So i think the problem is - wrong encoding of some .php or .tpl files - could someone tell me how to solve this problem. Also when I export the table tblclients from phpmyadmin to .sqlfile and open this file with browser - the text is not readable wiht any encoding. Thank you in advance!

faisal
You must add this code in configuration.php $mysql_charset = "utf8";

ljesh
I don't know if you have solved this issue but I just noticed it. Some time ago I have found this tool to convert database collation from the web interface in 2 easy steps: 1. Enter the informations (database server, database name, database password, database username, collation to convert to) 2. Hit Submit and every time it has amased me. Try it, maybe you will like it too. If you find it usefull please donate to the author since they are doing great job, for free.
dexus
This script would not convert data, just change the charset and collation of database fields.
