ffeingol
We have WHMCS setup so we have to manually accept orders before they accounts on the server are provisioned. This works great for the hosting account but the domain registration is automatically sent to the registrar as soon as payment is made. Is it possible to defer the registration until the order is accepted?
Si
I would like to know this as well. I've had 4 domains registered by the same fraudster constantly changing IP in the past 2 days (despite having maxmind working with telephone verification as well). I'm having to tweak my settings lower and have now completely blocked all orders from free email providers - not ideal, but unless I can find a way of manually validating domain registration orders at the minute I'm going to be seriously out of cash because of these gangsters.

dreamcon
i think that can be done manually as well.... I havent used it personally but in configuration--> domain pricing --> select none for automatic registration and then you can process it manually when orders are recived thorugh the the website hope this helps cheers!!
Si
Domains can be cancelled in the first 5 days. Thanks for this. Are you sure though? I use enom and on a search on their support site it clearly states that all domain sales are final.
othellotech
ICANN as part of the attempt to stop domain "tasters" and perpetual squatters changed the rules on domain cancellations early in the year, and from October its expected no registry will be offering refunds as they'll still have to pay for the domain.
chickendippers
Ah right, we haven't had to cancel a domain name in a while so wasn't up to speed with it.
Si
Just updating this: Enom support today cancelled 4 domains and recredited my account, 2 days after they had been registered because: "they were cancelled within the cancellation period". they don't specify what the cancellation period is, but I'm quite happy to know now that if a fraud order does slip through that I can contact enom within a reasonable time and advise them of the fraud and have the domain cancelled and my account credited back. ffeingol
We have had domains canceled by eNom also but I hear this is "registrars descression". If you get too many in a short period you'll prob. end up eating them. It's a cost of doing business.
