twhiting9275
I started this one when working with MB, then thought I'd bring it across. Essentially, this addition will allow admin users to download a v-card for clients from inside WHMCS (need to be logged in, obviously). The file can be found here , scroll down to the bottom of the page, look for WHMCS stuff . I started this one when on vacation, actually, needed a quick way to get all client files into outlook/ipod. This provides a mass generation script as well (read the install ). Free mod, up for the taking, just another contribution towards making WHMCS great
Harrison
Sounds good. Can I ask what a VCard is and where I would use it? Thanks for your contribution to the community.
twhiting9275
When it comes to definitions, I suck, so I'll let Wikipedia do it for me vCard is a file format standard for personal data interchange, specifically electronic business cards. Vcards can be imported into numerous email clients (such as outlook, not sure about OE, etc). More importantly for me, and the reason I put this together in the first place: Vcards can be stored onto an I-Pod, and read as such. This provides a rather quick way for getting in touch with clients. I've kept it to the basics, but it's still rather useful.
MACscr
I use SugarCRM as my CRM solution and it already syncs contacts/calendar items with my outlook. Im actually in the midst of getting it to integrate with whmcs.
Roger
How do you like Sugar ..??
MACscr
SugarCRM is the best open source option out there as far as php/mysql IHMO. Vtiger had potential and i used to be involved with it, but to much poor foreign decision being made, so i gave up on it and left. Sugar has plenty of faults, but it has the easiest interface that i know of and a decent amount of development activity. I can go on and on about its faults though. When I was an IT Director for a company, we had some professional user licenses for Sugar, but after i left, they gave up on it and decided to do MS CRM because their new IT Dir is all MS. He converted all my linux severs to MS 2003 and everything. What a shame. =P
Roger
I've tried to implement some Linux/Samba boxes here. But the IT Director doesn't think Linux is stable enough. But then, he thinks anything thats not an AS400 is not a real computer as well.
eugenevdm
I use SugarCRM as my CRM solution and it already syncs contacts/calendar items with my outlook. Im actually in the midst of getting it to integrate with whmcs. MACscr, We also use SugarCRM and I'm very interested to hear some of your experiences with integrating SugarCRM and WHMCS. For example, I would love to use SugarCRM case-management instead of WHMCS's help desk. Do you think this will be possible?
MACscr
twhiting9275, does this script still work for you? I noticed you encoded it for some reason. I just tried using it myself, but it told me that the vcard.php file is either expired or corrupted.
