ChuckB
I am trying out the Trial of WHMCS and must say overall pleased with the functionality, it would be nice to elminate ModernBill & Kayako - however I am hitting a snag in the import of ModernBill - it doesn't setup customers properly to be billed. For instance User #2 should be billed $5 a month, however it shows it's next bill will be for $0.00 - I am running the latest 4.x build, and I tried a 3 versions back of databases I had archived, and each had varied results - is there a specific version I need to be running? Also is the source open anymore where I could make tweaks? It's that or I start from scratch and try building my own - which would probably take longer than the trial period. Any advice is appriciated!
twhiting9275
I had no problems with my modernbill switch at all, and I had a very hacked modernbill install (I had to write an AWBS import script which wasn't the cleanest thing out there;)). Make sure that the products are showing up properly, maybe there was a problem with importing the price of the product?
ChuckB
I think I found my problem - I have been going over things today (first free day this week!) and noted that newer accounts have a set price in the "price override" section, earlier accounts in my billing system, do not, for whatever reason they go based upon the package defined vs. required price override. So all the older accounts (ie. the clients created over the past 2 years or so) all have no Price Override set, so they simply have their package copied over with a $0.00 price tag. So at some point MB must of changed something in their code I guess. I guess I might need to do a dirty import script of my own as well, but for the accounts that are new, the WHMCS script did awesome - so just wanted to put those two bits in so folks didn't think I was blaming the failure of the script on Matt. If I write a dirty one that works fairly well, I'll post the source.
