Not sure I would say "discontinued" yet. It's EOL, but still will have security updates until December of this year. So yeah, why not start the switch over now :)

Actually, it was "discontinued" on December 31st. They only offer security updates till 2008-08-08 (August 8th). We offer php4 as a legacy option for our clients and all .php files are handled by php5 by default.
