huaren
WHMCS have so many available DOMAIN REGISTRARS, could someone tell me which one is most user friendly from your experiences? or which one has least problem with WHMCS? Thanks!
eekdood
huaren, I asked around myself and after feedback and research on my own, went with DirectI. The deal through WHMCS is good, and I know that Matt is getting a kickback, so I'm supporting WHMCS even more. Since WHMCS is affiliated with DirectI, the integration works really well. My only gripe is that you still have to click a link in an email to accept transfers (unless I have yet to find that setting). Please let us know what you decide, why you did, and how it works out for you!
Arhineus
Myself, I'm a fan of Enom. They have always been great to deal with, whether it was myself, my staff, or even my clients (if they for some reason called them). That being said, I've never dealt with DirectI, so I can't give you feedback on them.
Sohan
Not sure about best, but I use directi. Their phone support sucks though.
chickendippers
Enom is probably the best, but it's pricey. We use both them and RoverNIC (a DirectI reseller) and their support is awesome, much better than if you go direct.
WHMCS Developer WHMCS Andrew Posted March 14, 2008 WHMCS Developer Share Posted March 14, 2008 huaren,My only gripe is that you still have to click a link in an email to accept transfers All domain transfers from ANY registrar not just DirectI needs this. it confirms that the domain owner is authorising the transfer
Nick
We use enom, but we're thinking about using directi instead for the domains they offer cheaper. I can tell you from my experience though, enom's support is not good.
chickendippers
Can't say I've had any problems with eNom's support.

The only time I had any sort of issue, was in registering private name servers for a .ca domain, which I had never done before, and there was a technical issue that needed to be solved before I could. Oh well...not everything can go smoothly.
mm1250
Well, we've been using eNom for the last 12months. Before that we used OpenSRS. We setup a DirectI account after they started the Brithday bash with domains for $6.89. We couldn't pass it up, so it was perfect timing. There are only a few things I like about DirectI over eNom. 1. They having cheaper slab pricing. We pay roughly $10/yr with eNom unless we dish out more setup fee to eNom. 2. ID Protection is free vs. eNom being $6/yr 3. eNomn doesn't run specials that i've seen. FOr example I can buy .info from DirectI for $1.69 now I'm not to much of a fan of the control panel but I suppose I never really use it considering everything is managed through WHMCS. I'm still figuring out the deal with why you can't have seperate contacts, Admin, Tech, billing. It seems whatever the Registrent contact is, it sets all other contacts the same. But we have WHMCS to put our name in but doesn't seem to be listening. I'll give my formal review in a month after I see how the domain transfers in and out work with it.
magga
I have had an eNom account for a while now but just signed up for a DirectI account due to their current domain pricing promotion. I have to say I prefer eNom over DirectI even though eNom is more expensive. I don't like the DirectI control panel and generally how it works. I'm going to continue using eNom I think as I've not had any problems with it and the support has always been ok (for the very occasional times I've used it).

That's one thing to say about enom - I've not seen a nicer control panel, it's faster and better than any other I've seen.
bogo
We using qualispace.com and have a reseller account there. AFAIK I know they use the same software as DIRECTI does. Support is great but slow. Best of it: No Setup Fee
magga
There's no eNom setup fee if you get the account through http://www.domainsmarty.com/resellers.php
bogo
Just one word of cautions. It may be that some registrars offer unbeatable prices but does it really pay of after all? In my Experience: No. We have used different Registrar in the Past - all of them great in marketing but whats count is DNS. If a Registrar doesn't provide a stable and reliable DNS the domain names just sucks.
magga
That is true yes... my vote would still go with eNom though.

SilverNodashi
we also use eNom. But who is the cheapest? I know RegistryFly is rather expensive. GoDaddy often has good specials, but since we can't use them on Modernbill, eNom was the option
PPH
we also use eNom. But who is the cheapest? I know RegistryFly is rather expensive. GoDaddy often has good specials, but since we can't use them on Modernbill, eNom was the option When choosing the best, price is only one factor. Support plays a big part or should, along with whether the registrar is also competing for the same services you offer at a lower price is also important. Keeping those points in check, I believe Enom the best at this time as we think good support and not having our customers end up on a site whereas they can cut out the middle man to save money would be the better choice
BAJI26
Does enom work like directi or netearthone, where I have to create a customer and add funds for member to purchase domains from me? How does it work? Thanks!
