I was having a tinker around yesterday with our video tutorials page and ended up loading the videos through a javascript / ajax lightbox so they're not in a new window and there's no messing with hiding menus.

I'm about to head away for a few days, I'll quiet happily zip up the stuff and upload it when I get back if people vote to say they want it.

That is a cool way of doing it, but I probably would have used thickbox. The only reason is because you would have a clearer way of closing the window once the tutorial is done.

But you could easily add this yourself to lightbox if you wanted.

Nice job!

I tried it with Bretts suggestion using thickbox which worked great. Plus I set it up so if javascript is not enabled it will just open up in a new window instead. I like this way better then the tutorial I had made. Good idea!

This can be easy done , just download the Videobox and upload the files to your website :

http://videobox-lb.sourceforge.net/

Link to your swf files in the form of :

<a href="YourVideo.swf" rel="vidbox 800 600" title="Caption 1">Video 1</a>

just change the video dimension (800 600) to fit your needs !

here is a working example using swf files http://www.hosting777.com/vid/

Hi Bucket,

These source files are not available to the public. We don't provide the source files for these, because the service we provide is in putting your logo in the first and last frames for you. The source files are our property as we are the original producers of these demos. If you want these demos with your logo, then you need to order them.

I hope that helps. If you have any questions about this, let me know.

Rob.
