toology
I must say this system is sweet, I have been pulling my hair out with modernbill's slooooooow system and dumb interface, but with hypervm integration I had to get this and I'm so glad I did.
RPS
I hear ya! Wait until you start submitting support tickets, the time for reply is just as good as the software itself.
twilightwebdesign
I definatly agree, after trying out the 15-day trial - i'm definatly switching from my modernbill 4.4.x installation. Best features were the simplicity of install and use, fast interface, directI support and the customer testers I used had very positive feedback over modernbill. If the updates and system keeps getting better, I think I've found a new billing system for life
Ausrob
Modernbill is a piece of <junk> (and I would know we've used it since 01) compared to this and that's just out of the box. 10 times faster and 10 times easier for staff to use. Already moving clients over
uberhost
Well, I wouldn't say WHMCS is "perfect," but it creams my Twinkie, lol.

hobbit666
must say i wish i tried this before modernbill and clientexec and wasted my money on them. WHMCS is simple and works, and when the kayako intergration is finished and working things will be even better.
JofleyUK
Well, I wouldn't say WHMCS is "perfect," but it creams my Twinkie, lol. I second that, after using AWBS for a while, Modernbill 4/5 Beta, and Host Director back in the early days of HI, yes I mean BETA cos they are never finished with screwing up.
toology
As a long time host, I've bought them all: perlbill (now logicbill), DRAMS (now AWBS), ubersmith, mobernbill v1-v5 (v4 was good for it's time, I still own 2 unlimited licenses which they don't even sell anymore), billadmin (written by matt @ site5), alabanza's billing system, hsphere's billing system and hspcomplete. WHMCS is the best out of all of them.

RPS
You have to look at who the software is made for.... A lot of the hosts using WHMCS, are smaller hosts, with fewer servers. WHMCS has a very different type of client base than Ubersmith. For the amount of people running WHMCS, I am amazed at how responsive support and updates are. If Matt plans to grow WHMCS into a larger system like Ubersmith, the current model for the business will need to adapt. There will always be a need for the market WHMCS covers, so I hope Matt doesn't try to turn WHMCS into a program such as Ubersmith.

twhiting9275
Perfect? No If it were 'perfect', the system would be a lot higher priced than it is, and there wouldn't be the issues that arose earlier this year, and late last year. Close to perfect? Perhaps, but there's always room for improvement, such as URGENT isssues being responded to in kind by staff!
Jordan
What does a high price have to do with it's quality? Does one have to be money hungry with their product in order for it to receive such a statement? Every system has bugs, random errors, and other issues that arise out of nowhere. And stop whining and spamming about your "urgent" ticket not being answered.
RPS
Matt and the rest of the support staff here have always responded to my tickets in a VERY reasonable amount of time. I'm not saying I don't believe you didn't get a fast response to your ticket, but I am saying that it is something to expect. You don't pay a premium for support here... Matt never declares a guaranteed response time either. WHMCS, for me, responds faster than most of the hosting companies' support respond to their customers! I don't judge WHMCS based on a single instance. If I buy 10 western digital hard drives directly from WD, and every drive is DOA, that doesn't mean western digital is a company that will always send a bad drive... You have to take a look at the sample size of the data you're using. When I talk about how fast WHMCS responds to me, I'm taking roughly 20 tickets into consideration here. What does a high price have to do with it's quality? - In most circumstances, higher prices = better product. Holds true for food, cars, entertainment, software, etc...
