Hide base price on invoices when using configuration options

We have a product where the price is determined by number of users/seats.

We have a setup fee in the product Price tab.

We have configurable options setup with a slider that adjusts the price as the number is increased.

However, there is no way to hide the base price. We have the price set to $0, otherwise it will add more to the total.

I submitted a support ticket but was told this was a feature request lol when it's clearly a bug as it doesn't allow you to correctly use configurable options.

Does anyone know a workaround to hide the base price? It's confusing to customers to see a $0 price then the price for number of users below it.

I wish WHMCS would admit this is a bug. I could be fixed with a simple checkbox like "Hide base price" when using configurable options.
