aspire
Hi - With quickbooks, zoho, freshbooks etc, when a client receives an invoice they just click the email and pay. As a marketing company as well as web design we send a lot of one-off invoices, but whmcs requires clients to sign in which is a barrier to payment. Most clients don't remember their user/pass and will put it off/forget. I have been researching solutions to allow clients to pay invoices Here is one from the MarketPlace: https://marketplace.whmcs.com/product/586-invoice-auto-login - this does not look compatible with 8.4 This looked promising but the PayRequest confirmation email went to spam and had such typos I just don't trust it. https://medium.com/payrequest/let-your-whmcs-customers-pay-via-mail-without-the-need-to-login-b3a750bf0673 Has anyone here run into this and created a workaround?

web2008
Is the problem solved, if the customer can automatically log in via the link in the email?
leemahoney3
The only way to do this presently in WHMCS is to add some sort of token to the invoice URL that automatically logs the client in. This on its own would be a massive security risk, and besides that, the invoice contains personal information so there is a reason it's kept hidden unless you've logged in. If you were to go down the token link, you'd need some way of logging the user out if they stray off the invoice page, otherwise if that link has been uncovered and put into the wrong hands, its basically a free pass to the clients account. I do agree somewhat that the client should have an option to allow their invoices be viewed with a custom link, one where they need to acknowledge their private details will be visible (or perhaps the option to hide their details if the user that clicks the link is not logged in e.g. the client) though as we cannot see the source code for WHMCS, this is not something a developer is likely to be able to do.
