Wrong domain renewal date

Recommended Posts

I have a problem with the date for renewed domains. If the domain expires on 06/01/22 and customer pays for the renewal today 01/25/22, then WHMCS updates the new renewal date for that domain on 01/25/23 instead 06/01/23.

Does anyone know what is that happening and how to fix it?

Does the expiration date on WHMCS say 06/01/22? WHMCS will use whatever date it's set there to calculate the next renewal.

Example: domain expires on  06/01/22, but customer make a payment for renewal today 01/25/22, then what WHMCS shows as next renewal is 01/25/23, instead showing 06/01/23.

Where does it say it expires on 06/01/2022? That was my question. Where are you looking at that specific date?

If you are looking at the date in your registrar control panel or with a Whois query, WHMCS does not use the real domain expiration date. It will use whatever you have set in your WHMCS settings for that domain name, hence it will use that to calculate the next expiration date and its wrong, it will use that. WHMCS can synchronize dates with some modules, but it only does this in batches every few hours and it does not work with all registrars.
