wordy smith
Add your domain to Google Search Console. If you’re familiar with adding DNS records, enter your domain under Domain and click Continue . On the next screen, click the Copy button to the right. Log in to your DNS management dashboard and add a record of type TXT. The Name will be your domain or simply use the “@” sign. Paste the contents you copied in Search Console into the Content area (could also be called Value area depending on your DNS manager interface). Back in Search Console, click Verify. If you prefer to use the html file method, add your full domain URL under URL prefix and click Continue. On the next screen, download the file and upload it to your website via SFTP (e.g. using Filezilla) or cPanel file manager. Make sure you upload it to the root of your site, /public_html/. Back in Search Console, click Verify. Full details for all the verification methods can be found here
