Language override inside Addon Module

This is language file from admin/lang/

I would like to know if there a possibility to  add the highlighted piece of code from  modules/addons/addonmodule/lang/english.php file.
or any other way to add a new status translation inside addon module.

@brian!  could you please have a  look at the above.

I don't think you can overwrite admin language from an addon's language files.  You could potentially overwrite it using a admin area page hook and overwrite the language variable to be the addon's language .
