Many Questions

Chad

Question

Hi, I have modernbill v4 and v5 running side by side. v4 has horrible upgrade/downgrade function, but fast page loads. v5 is slow as anything, but nicer interface and more features.

1. Can I use both MB v4 and v5 importers? What happens if there is a client with the same email address on v4 and v5 (some canceled the old package on v4 and purchased a new package from the newer company site under v5 billing).

2. Why is the interface really ugly, or pain? Not to sound rude, but it really could use a face lift. Any reasons why this is just plain 1992? (humor anyone?)

3. What notable features does whmcs NOT have that Modernbill v4 / v5 have?

4. Anyone know of designers that specialize in whmcs and I mean, quality web 2.0 designers?

5. The demo was quick, but I was unable to find anything about server monitoring. I assumed it would be in the admin area since I saw the server status icon in client side demo.

6. Does the modernbill v4 / v5 import the packages and add-ons completely? Is there anything specifically lacking in the import that I should be aware of?

2. WHMCS is totally customisable, check out the Showcase forum to see what can be done with it.

3. There's nothing MB4 could do that WHMCS can't. Haven't used MB5 so can't comment.

4. Any web designer worth his or her salt should be able to customise a WHMCS installation, it's pretty straight forward. I managed it and I'm a Geographer by qualification!

5. Yes there is a server monitor.

6. It imports them, but that's something you should definitely check over before going live. Bare in mind all it needs to import is the WHM plan name.
