GoCardless and Xero invoices stuck on Pending Payment

Hi there,

I have an installation of WHMCS where we are using GoCardless to collect payments and our accounting package is Xero. Both are integrated but the process of sending an invoice, collecting and marking the invoices as paid isn't working for all clients.

We have WHMCS set up to create invoices in GoCardless for Xero with invoice numbers starting HO which is working but not collecting payment.

In GoCardless we seem to have separate invoices for the client without this invoice number but this is where the funds are being collected it seems.

When the invoices are connected correctly Xero is telling WHMCS when an invoice is paid, but where these invoices aren't being collected by GoCardless for Xero WHMCS is not getting updated so we have invoices on WHMCS which are stuck on pending payment.

Does that make sense and can anyone help?

This is also an issue for me now too, as today a domain expired because it didn't auto renew because Gocardless was stuck on payment pending and not paid. This meant that the customer got a warning issue saying a domain that they had actually paid for has expired.

Sadly, WHMCS say they cannot replicate this and that I need to provide them admin access to my system before they will look into this further. I have contacted Gocardless and passed this on to them (WHMCS blame Gocardless or my setup) for WHMCS not receiving  a "Confirmed" status being passed back to WHMCS.
